On Tuesday it was announced that California Attorney General Xavier Becerra will deliver the Dems’ State of the Union response in Spanish.
Failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate and tax delinquent Stacey Abrams will deliver the Dems’ response to the State of the Union address — then Xavier Becerra will repeat it in Spanish to make sure the illegal immigrants can understand what their Dem leaders are saying.

Schumer and Pelosi praised the incredibly corrupt California Attorney General with more Marxist doublespeak.

“Xavier Becerra embodies the promise of America. Throughout his career and most recently as the first Latino to serve as state attorney general in California history, he has kept that promise alive for millions of children and families across the nation by protecting access to affordable heath care and defending the dignity of everyone in our country from the Trump administration’s harmful and divisive attacks. His moral and vigilant leadership on behalf of hardworking families is a critical marker for all who believe that our country’s best days are still ahead of us,” Chuck Schumer said.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi added, “We are proud that California Attorney General and former Congressman Xavier Becerra will be delivering Democrats’ Spanish-language response. Attorney General Becerra is a towering champion of equal justice and a tireless fighter for every American’s right to quality, affordable heath care, and we all look forward to his strong message of progress for all American families and communities.”

Xavier Becerra is an open-borders, corrupt Attorney General who cares not for the American taxpayer.


Becerra fights for illegal aliens in California and makes sure to take action against any officials seeking to exempt themselves from dangerous sanctuary city laws.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will deliver his own response to President Trump's State of the Union address on Tuesday for the third year running.

The senator's office confirmed to The Hill that his response will follow Trump's speech and be streamed on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

Sanders has made responding to Trump's televised addresses a habit, delivering a response to the president's speech on border security last month in addition to responding to previous State of the Union addresses.

Sanders, who is an independent but caucuses with Democrats, will be delivering his response at the same time that former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams delivers the official Democratic Party response.

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra (D) will give the Spanish-language Democratic response.

Sanders is in the process of deciding whether to pursue a 2020 presidential bid. Sanders has consistently placed toward the top of national polls after challenging eventual Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016.

If he chooses to run, Sanders will join a primary field that could see as many as 30 candidates run in 2020.

His colleagues Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) have already announced they intend to run.

I have no idea why they chose her. All she did was run around crying about missing votes in areas that were heavily democratic in Georgia. Maybe she should ask the democrats where those votes went?

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after President Trump delivered his State of the Union Address:

“Tonight, the President spoke about the honor of being in the House Chamber, and all the progress that has been achieved here. But at the same time, he threatened the United States Congress not to exercise its constitutional responsibility of oversight.

“It will take days to fact-check all the misrepresentations that the President made tonight. Instead of fear-mongering and manufacturing a crisis at the border, President Trump should commit to signing the bipartisan conference committee’s bill to keep government open and provide strong, smart border security solutions.

“Sadly, while talking about perceived threats to the safety of the American people, he completely ignored the gun violence epidemic that is claiming lives across the country.

“The President’s call for ending HIV transmission in America is interesting, but if he is serious about ending the HIV/AIDS crisis, he must end his assault on health care and the dignity of the LGBTQ community.

“With the complicity of the GOP Congress over the last two years, President Trump failed the middle class by trying to take away Americans’ health care and enriching the wealthiest 1 percent. The state of the American middle class has been weakened by President Trump’s special interest first agenda.

“The President said that he wanted to work to lower prescription drug prices and build America’s infrastructure. Thus far, the President has not put forward any real proposals. Now, with a new House Democratic Majority working For The People, the President has an opportunity to join us to deliver real progress in lowering the price of prescription drugs and making the bold investments needed to rebuild America’s infrastructure in a green and modern way.

“President Trump must now take concrete steps to work with Democrats to strengthen the health and economic security of families across America. After two years of the President’s empty words, the American people deserve real results.”

In fairness to whoever does the opposition speech, it really is just an “opposition speech”, as it takes place 5 minutes after the SOTU. It can’t be a rebuttal speech, as there isn’t enough time. Plenty of interviews with rebuttals though.
