In a week that has been defined by blunders committed by the "Fake News" media (https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-01-20/more-fake-news-exposed-media-lies-about-catholic-kids-native-american-debacle), President Trump is taking his bashing of the American press to a whole new level.
Following an earlier tweet where he condemned the mainstream media (https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-01-22/trump-maga-hat-teen-controversy-shows-how-evil-fake-news-can-be) outlets for bashing a teenager at a Catholic high school in Kentucky who was accused of harassing a Native American activist after video footage of the encounter was taken wildly out of context, Trump revealed that he told Press Secretary Sarah Sanders "not to bother" with press conferences because of the unfair and "rude" media coverage she receives.

The reason Sarah Sanders does not go to the “podium” much anymore is that the press covers her so rudely & inaccurately, in particular certain members of the press. I told her not to bother, the word gets out anyway! Most will never cover us fairly & hence, the term, Fake News!

Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 22, 2019 (https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1087733867614781446?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) Since almost the beginning of the Trump Administration, the mainstream press has consistently griped that the supposedly "daily" White House press briefings now only happen once in a blue moon. According to an analysis by Quartz (https://qz.com/1503024/2018-was-the-year-the-white-house-press-briefing-died/), which cited data from the American Presidency Project, in 2018, Sanders "held drastically fewer briefings than her peers, allowed relatively few questions, and engaged in many contentious exchanges."

Compared with her 13 most recent predecessors (including Sean Spicer), Sanders holds far fewer briefings per month, averaging only 11.5 during her tenure as of September. However, that number is expected to plummet because Sanders has held only 3 briefings since September. And while Trump himself has regularly held press briefings independently of Sanders, he is also holding fewer than most of his recent peers (though he is tied with Obama at 21).
Given the direction that coverage of the Trump administration has been trending, we wouldn't be surprised to see that number fall even further.

Good.

If the courts are going to rule that certain troublemakers have some God-given right to dominate and interrupt press briefings, then the press briefings can stop. Sanders can host invitation only “group interviews”.

I'm amazed that CNN et all were ever allowed 'continued' access
to these press conferences, that should have been nipped in the bud,
the reporters should have been replaced or agencies replaced.

We have went from media that simply repeated everything the Bush admin said to media running a presidency.

Trump's latest wall stance appears to be because Fox and Friends were disappointed in him. So now we have the media telling a president what to do. And it's Fox.. who we can not forget was the enemy of Ron Paul's election efforts.

I totally agree.
MMM was collisional in their false narrative regarding Ron Paul at every turn (2012) they all pretty much read
from the same script. I don't know about Fox , only because I wasn't watching them much.
Fox today is from what I've read a much worse news source than they were in the past,
it's entertaining in ways and not quite as disturbing as CNN et al, still, it seems they've all given up
on real news and journalism.

Uh, Fox News was the WORST STATION IN HISTORY from late 2001 - 2006 or so..

I didn't watch them much under Obama, but the fact that they are at times, at least, somewhat sticking up for Trump means they are probably the least deep state they have ever been right now.

Good I heard they had an ownership change and were headed south, I
do think Tucker has done a great job, others, I don't really know about.
I also think Hannity is the biggest Zionist shill I've ever listened to, him
and Michael Savage.
Alex Jones was the one I was listening too about the management shake
up, now that I think of it, that was a couple years ago.
