President Trump on Thursday scrapped a scheduled delegation to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, citing the partial government shutdown.

Several cabinet officials were slated to attend the trip headed up by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Deputy Chiief of Staff Chris Liddell.
"Out of consideration for the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay and to ensure his team can assist as needed, President Trump has canceled his delegation’s trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland," White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement.

The Davos cancellation follows an initial scaling back of the US delegation to the gathering of political elites which will run from Jan. 22-25.

The shutdown is a gift that keeps giving. The US not participating in their globalist shit show is another good thing.

Hopefully above report is not fakenews but non-globalist anti-war America-First lobbies activities are still ongoing.

Over the past week, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and national security adviser John Bolton conducted separate trips to the Middle East. They aimed to convince U.S. allies of the Trump administration’s commitment to their security and interests, no matter the president’s erratic rhetoric and decision to withdraw U.S. forces from Syria (https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2019/01/07/what-happened-trumps-syria-withdrawal/). But it doesn’t seem that either Bolton or Pompeo achieved anything like success.
Bolton made stops in Israel and Turkey, while Pompeo conducted an eight-day tour that included a controversial speech Thursday in Cairo (https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2019/01/08/yet-again-trump-targets-obamas-middle-east-legacy/). He used the address to attack the alleged misdeeds of the Obama administration and rattle the saber at Iran. Pompeo then called on a number of Arab monarchies before leaving for home from Oman on Monday.
