The U.S. now says the U.S. Wire Act bars all internet gambling that involves interstate transactions, reversing its position from 2011 that only sports betting was prohibited under the law passed 50 years earlier.
A coalition backed by billionaire casino executive Sheldon Adelson lobbied the Justice Department in 2017 to reconsider its 2011 decision that cleared the way for states to allow online gambling.

Billionaires like Sheldon Adelson are largely responsible for buying our politicians for the purpose of curtailing our rights for their benefit and flooding the US with cheap labor to the detriment of Americans for their benefit.
At one point will American citizens have had enough and demand the government round up these pieces of garbage, confiscate their wealth and have our civil rights that they eroded restored?
After writing that last sentence the thought occurred to me maybe we have seen this already. Unfortunately it ends up being the innocent instead of the handful of people actually responsible and far worse than wealth confiscation unfortunately.
