It seems both Adelson funded GOP and Soros funded Dems are serious about putting America First in their priorities.
That said, controversial theories about fake political front groups being setup to fool masses seem to be bit exaggerated:

U.S. Senate’s First Bill, in Midst of Shutdown, is a Bipartisan Defense of the Israeli Government from Boycotts

Ryan Grim, Glenn Greenwald
January 5 2019, 4:09 p.m.

When each new Congress is gaveled into session, the chambers attach symbolic importance to the first piece of legislation to be considered. For that reason, it bears the lofty designation of H.R.1 in the House, and S.1 in the Senate.
In the newly controlled Democratic House, H.R.1 – meant to signal the new majority’s priorities – is an anti-corruption bill (https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/11/30/18118158/house-democrats-anti-corruption-bill-hr-1-pelosi) that combines election and campaign finance reform, strengthening of voting rights, and matching public funds for small-dollar candidates. In the new 2017 Senate, the GOP-controlled S.1 (https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/senate-bill/1) was a bill, called the “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act,” that, among other provisions, cut various forms of corporate taxes.

But in the 2019 GOP-controlled Senate, the first bill to be considered – S.1 – is not designed to protect American workers, bolster U.S. companies, or address the various debates over border security and immigration. It’s not a bill to open the government. Instead, according to multiple sources involved in the legislative process, S.1 will be a compendium containing a handful of foreign-policy related measures, a main one of which is a provision, with Florida’s GOP Sen. Marco Rubio as a lead sponsor, to defend the Israeli government. The bill is a top legislative priority for AIPAC (https://www.aipac.org/learn/legislative-agenda/agenda-display?agendaid=%7BB499D12C-C5ED-4CA6-93CF-61266D842328%7D).
In the previous Congress, that measure was known as S.170 (https://www.congress.gov/115/bills/s170/BILLS-115s170is.pdf), and it gives state and local governments explicit legal authority to boycott any U.S. companies which themselves are participating in a boycott against Israel. As the Intercept reported last month (https://theintercept.com/2018/12/17/israel-texas-anti-bds-law/), 26 states now have enacted some version of a law to punish or otherwise sanction entities which participate in or support the boycott of Israel, while similar laws are pending in at least 13 additional states. Rubio’s bill is designed to strengthen the legal basis to defend those Israel-protecting laws from constitutional challenge.
Punishment aimed at companies which choose to boycott Israel can also sweep up individual American citizens in its punitive net, because individual contractors often work for state or local governments under the auspices of a sole proprietorship or some other business entity. That was the case with Texas elementary school speech pathologist Bahia Amawi, (https://theintercept.com/2018/12/17/israel-texas-anti-bds-law/) who lost her job working with autistic and speech-impaired children in Austin because she refused to promise not to boycott goods produced in Israel and/or illegal Israeli settlements.

Aid to Israel, BDS and anti-Semitism: New Congress Looks to Reintroduce pro-Israel Legislation

Susan Walsh/AP Republican Senator Marco Rubio, Florida, reintroduced pro-Israel legislation that did not get passed in the last Congress.

Rubio, together with Senator James Risch, R-Idaho, on Thursday, the first day of the new Congress, combined a number of Middle East-related bills into a single bill, jump-starting the process.

“First item the Senate will take up in the new Congress will be our bill to deal with the crisis in #Syria & support our allies in the Middle East,” Rubio said on Twitter.

Among the items is the Ileana Ros-Lehtinen United States-Israel Security Assistance Authorization Act, named for the Republican Florida congresswoman who just retired and who tried to shepherd the bill through the last Congress.
The bill would codify the 2016 deal between the Obama administration and the Netanyahu government that guarantees Israel $38 billion in security assistance over 10 years, protecting the assistance from the whims of any current or future president. Ros-Lehtinen garnered massive bipartisan support and got the bill through the House. Allies led by Rubio secured a majority in the Senate, but Republican Senator Rand Paul, Kentucky, who opposes foreign aid, used the senator’s prerogative to block it.

“Groovy!” Ros-Lehtinen said Thursday on Twitter when JTA posted the news. “I’m no longer in Congress but my bills live on!”

If that's confirmed, could be huge.
The tensions between DTS and TDS groups are getting bit out of hand lately and could undermine GOP-Adelson's future prospects.

Sen Schumer makes a stunning America-First move:

Chuck Schumer moves to block pro-Israel bill to protest shutdown

by Susan Ferrechio
| January 07, 2019 03:23 PM

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and other Senate Democratic leaders are mounting an effort to block a pro-Israel bill on Tuesday in order to protest the ongoing partial government shutdown, which is now in its third week.
The Senate late Tuesday will hold a procedural vote on a bill that supports Israel by allowing state and local governments to divest from entities that boycott, divest from, or sanction Israel because of its occupation of the West Bank.
The provision is part of legislation numbered “S.1” that was to be the very first bill senators debate in the 116th Congress. In addition to the BDS language, it includes several Middle East security provisions such as new authorities for sanctioning Bashar Assad's regime in Syria and reauthorization of security assistance to Israel.

But Schumer, D-N.Y., and Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md., a top Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee, will vote Tuesday against moving to debate the BDS bill, even though they cosponsored the bill when was introduced in 2017.

So the very first bill the supposedly "conservative" GOP Senate finds most important to present, and in the midst of a government shutdown no less, proffered by ignoble Marco Rubio (R-Israel), is to burn the first amendment and impose censorship on behalf of a foreign government. The founders must be rolling in their graves. They would have tarred and feathered the statist foreign agent Marco Rubio.

On top of that the Democrats, in the midst of record breaking deficits and a nation destroying national debt, found it in the hearts to fund a $38 billion welfare package for a foreign government, enabling it to build concentration zone walls on land it does not even own, but not a cent for US border wall. What hypocrisy! Where was the Democrat shutdown over walls during the $38 billion Israel welfare package?

Good thing we have an America First president who is certain to veto this if and when it comes to his desk.
