Millionaire anti-virus software tycoon John McAfee unleashed a barrage of criticism of the IRS in a series of tweets Thursday and bragged that he has not filed a tax return in eight years.

"I have not filed a tax return for 8 years," McAfee wrote before calling taxes illegal and complaining about government services. He noted that he lives off the money made from McAfee Inc. - the company he founded and resigned from in 1994 - and called himself a "prime target" for the IRS before writing "Here I am."

In another tweet, McAfee likened the tax agency to the Nazi SS and said its beginnings are rooted as an intimidation arm of the government during Prohibition. He cited the Civil War period as an example to abolish the income tax: "prior to the civil war there was no income tax, yet we managed. Stay tuned for the truth."

As soon as the IRS reopens, I'm sure they'll open an investigation. They won't allow a revolution like this to gain traction.

It’s going to be years and most IRS agents and federal employees will quit by then.

Haven't we had cases over the years where
the govt just shuts up and drops cases when the exposure
will lead to massive rejection to those unjust laws?
Remember the Civil War , the war of Northern (Federal)
Aggression , oh wait, they told me it was about slavery.
In either case, they're going to want McCafee gone, they have
tools for this.

+ We all know of someone who has boasted that they always file
but never pay, I'm not sure they want those cases heard either.

Unless ending the IRS, along with the Fed (seeing how the IRS is the collection agency of the private Fed), has been part of the globalist banker's plan for a while.

In that case, Joe Banister was not the person who did not pay taxes. He filed tax returns for someone else, Walter Thompson, claiming that he did not need to pay any taxes. Walter was convicted and sentenced to 72 months in prison. Joe was acquitted. That webpage is celebrating that Banister was able to fuck his client over and get away with it.

Technically you can't go to jail for not paying. You go to jail for not filing or filing false returns.

Walter Thompson DIDN'T file (under the advice of Joe Banister) and therein lies the evasion. Had he faithfully filed and not paid he would not have gone to jail. Of course, they would have then seized his assets to fulfill the liability.

These are basic IRS rules. Banister walked his client into jail by advising him not to file. You can't win by arguing the unconstitutionality of 16A. You have to win by their rules.

Since he stopped issuing promo-tweets about ICOs (after allegedly being threatened by the SEC), one-time PC security pioneer turned crypto true believer has been relatively quiet (emphasis on relatively). To wit, he hasn't issued any more outrageous promises about his willingness to consume a certain appendage (https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-11-29/john-mcafee-ups-bitcoin-target-price-1-million-end-2020-will-still-eat-his-dick-if-w) in front of a live audience should the price of bitcoin not eclipse a certain level, and he hasn't elaborated on an anecdote detailing his penchant for sexual congress with one of the ocean's mightiest mammals.

Whale fucking. No joke. Each year, on Feb 1st, in the Molokai Channel, a few men compete in the world's only whale fucking contest. Humpback whales are easy to fuck- for a second or less. World record: 31 seconds. I competed once. Almost got my ribs crushed. Stick with Ostriches.
— John McAfee (@officialmcafee) June 24, 2018 (https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/1010682321106821125?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) In fact, he hasn't said much of anything that would be considered headline-worthy. That is, until today.
In a video published on his twitter account, McAfee, who famously fled from murder charges brought by authorities in Belize, revealed to that he is officially on the lam after a grand jury was allegedly convened in Tennessee to pursue unspecified federal tax charges against McAfee and his family.
But don't worry, McAfee fans. Because he isn't giving up on the battle against tyranny. Which is why he will be waging his 'McAfee 2020' campaign in exile...from his boat.
But why exactly is the federal government coming after McAfee? Well, this might be one explanation: According to McAfee, for the last eight years, he has refused to pay federal income taxes. The government's decision to prosecute himself, his family and - according to McAfee - several of his campaign workers - is just the latest indication that McAfee's prophesy about cryptocurrencies eventually leading to conflict with governments is finally becoming a reality.

"Cryptocurrency will at some point come head to head with government. Why? Because when privacy coins are widely used, governments will no longer be able to collect income taxes. This is a good thing. We will some day be at war."
But the government's reason is flawed, McAfee says, because refusing to pay taxes isn't actually illegal (according to McAfee).

"I have not paid taxes for eight years, I have not filed returns...I've been fine. It's not illegal. Today...Jan. 22...the IRS has convened a grand jury in the State of Tennessee to charge myself, my wife Mrs. McAfee and four of my campaign workers with unspecified IRS crimes of a felonious nature."
After piercing the government's transparent ruse, the true motivation behind McAfee's persecution should be obvious to all. The government is trying to silence McAfee for having the courage to boldly advocate for people to abandon fiat currency and switch to crypto. But rather than simply allowing the government to toss him in prison (where he presumably wouldn't have access to twitter), McAfee is taking his battle to the high seas.

"They want to silence me. I will not allow that. So I am running my campaign in exile on this boat for the duration...I will not allow them to imprison me and shut my voice down, which they will do immediately. Why? I am a flight risk - obviously, I am in flight.
"I will be putting out videos every day to explain what has happened."
We're very much looking forward to hearing more from McAfee, soon to be the first presidential candidate to run for higher office while remaining a fugitive from justice.
Call him the Dread Pirate McAfee.

The McAfee 2020 Campaign is, as of this day, in exile. I am being charged with using Crypto Cuttencies in criminal acts against the U. S. Government. More videos coming shortly. Stay tuned. pic.twitter.com/C75zcbnKTD (https://t.co/C75zcbnKTD)

Banister had his CPA license revoked in 2007 because he gave bogus tax advice to his clients. He also has had two judgments rendered against him for back taxes, penalties, and interest, one in 2008 and the second in 2015. In the latter case the penalties exceeded the back taxes, a result that takes a lot of stupidity to achieve, but Banister managed to do it. http://tpgurus.wikidot.com/joseph-banister

That's good to hear. I didn't follow closely enough to know for sure, but I do remember him saying things that didn't seem like they jived with someone who didn't want the feds to have a pretty huge revenue source that had to come from one thing or another.

John McAfee Flees U.S. for Alleged Crypto Tax Fraud

U.S. presidential candidate John McAfee announced on Tuesday that he has fled the country. According to McAfee’s recent Twitter video he’s “living in exile” on a boat because he’s been charged with felonies handed down by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The former antivirus tycoon and cryptocurrency advocate John McAfee says he’s got problems with the U.S. tax agency the IRS. McAfee recently explained in a video that he was charged for “using cryptocurrencies in criminal acts” by Tennessee court officials. McAfee also detailed that four members of his 2020 presidential campaign have also been charged with “unspecified charges of a felonious nature” and his wife as well. “I have not paid taxes for eight years and I have made no secret of it,” McAfee emphasized while sitting on a rocking boat.

“They want to silence me and I will not allow that,” McAfee continued. “I am running my campaign in exile on this boat for the duration — I will not allow them to imprison me and shut my voice down, which they will do immediately — Why? I am a flight risk. Obviously, I am in flight,” McAfee remarked.

The infamous cryptocurrency proponent has been known for being brutally honest and makes statements about digital currencies nearly every day. McAfee’s video also refers to prior statements concerning taxation such as the first week of January when he told his 890,000 Twitter followers that he refuses to pay taxes to the government. The candidate also said he was a prime target for the IRS and seemingly dared the agency to come after him by saying “here I am.” McAfee further stated that taxation is illegal and he’s “paid tens of millions already and received jack shit in services.”

“I’m done making money and I live off of cash from McAfee Incorporated — My net income is negative,” McAfee detailed.

The tweet storm continued:

I’m challenging the agency responsible for fueling our Government’s madness — the IRS. The IRS will not sit idly by. I know this. But I have prepared my entire life for this battle.

In the video published on Jan. 22, McAfee said he will continue to be on the run on his boat and he plans to release campaign videos every day while in exile. He says as long as he’s on the run he cannot be officially charged by the tax agency. In another tweet that followed the first announcement, McAfee explained his situation a touch further and said: “Today a grand jury was convened by the IRS to indict Janice and myself and four various unnamed campaign workers for various tax fraud issues.” McAfee again told his fans that digital currencies and specifically privacy-enhanced coins will circumvent the state.

“Every so often and very rarely a clash of old and new cultures brought about by technology changes civilization,” McAfee concluded. “Cryptocurrencies is one of these technologies and probably the most dramatic to have occurred in human history since the invention of fire — Because cryptocurrencies free the individual from the yoke of currency controlled by governments.”

It seems from prior statements and photos on Twitter earlier this week that McAfee may be on his way to Venezuela. However, McAfee will not reveal his geographic location and intends on staying on the boat for “two years.” The businessman believes he can obtain enough fuel and has the fishing skills to stick it out for quite some time on the run.

Seems he is ready to stand and fight the IRS- by leaving the country and avoiding them.
