The U.S. solution? Make it even worse while abandoning freedom and liberty at taxpayer cost.

I do not support ANY money toward any wall whatsoever. It opposes the NAP. Walter Block made crystal clear private property rights and homesteading land rights. This out of hand corrupt government will do anything to expand its reach by way of BLM and Eminent Domain.

If private property owners wish to build a wall on their own land, let them build it on their own dime.

Yes, it is a corrupt government. But you do not feed and grow government, by way of taxpayer money, BLM, Eminent Domain, thereby reducing freedom and liberty, hoping that it will increase freedom and liberty.

The statists way has not worked in hundreds of years. You must make a choice - either work toward liberty, or keep the cabal moving ahead until we have nothing left.

I am more concerned about this corrupt government than I am a few thousand immigrants who were forced to flee because of U.S. corrupt foreign policy.

would you say the Hondurans should have controlled their sovereignty and borders better to defend against foreign influence? Their lax sovereignty and "internal freedoms" allowed the corporatists to come in and control the land and the wealth.

How do you have a coup without willing participants?

NAP man, that was the choice of Hondurans to go along with American-backed coups.

Most of those countries were socialist governments anyway.

The coup in Chile was orchestrated by the so called "Chicago School", which saw Allende as the direct opposite of free markets.
What about all the Chileans that wanted a free market, and were opposed to Allende? They chose the American interference, and greeted it with open arms.

Per the video, before the coups, the Hondurans already ceded their land and wealth to foreigners. Should of had a strong national identity that rejected foreign control, then that would have countered coup attempts.

We need to do some more educating around here to get people to stop using the word "sovereignty" as a euphemism for statism.

The kind of sovereignty that we believe in here is the sovereignty of each individual. And such sovereignty that any government can rightfully have can only be what is delegated to it from sovereign individuals. This kind of government stands below the people it serves in sovereignty, not above them.

Those who equate sovereignty with immigration restriction, such that the regime stands above the people and has ultimate sovereignty of its own, are talking about the diametric opposite of what we here support. Their top-down view of governance ultimately becomes the very global government they pretend to be against.

I can't imagine thinking that imposing the kind of immigration control you support for the USA on each individual state in regulating commerce from other states having a net positive effect on anything. But to be consistent you have to think so.

This is the kind of leviathan state the immigration restrictionists really idealize.

It doesn't. Giving the regime the power to control immigration requires that you give up many of your freedoms. It must keep track of your location, identity, job, and other business dealings, and requires that you be prepared at any moment to prove that you yourself are here legally. The presumption for all people must be one of guilt of having entered the nation illegally, with the onus on them to prove they have not, since otherwise those who do enter illegally could simply show no papers and claim they were born here. The amount of control over us that's required in order to enforce immigration restriction is enormous, and cannot just be concentrated at the borders, but requires a nationwide surveillance net, which is why they amount of power the regime has to stop illegal immigration is never enough.

A place like North Korea is a good example of one that has the level of immigration control you support, and there's much else that goes along with it, none of which equates to protecting people's other freedoms. And even there, too much illicit human movement takes place, indicating that the burdens they impose are still not great enough to satisfy your ilk.

He seems to be awfully long on demanding specifics from others, but short on supplying them himself. Just an observation.

At least he's finally beginning to see that sometimes he's better off not trying to spin his way out of the hole he dug himself into, and stops bumping the thread instead.

Good.

THAT is how "welfare" should work. Local people, local charities.

"US foreign policy" has nothing to do with US citizens. It's a global conglomeration of Banks and corporations. It's globalism its finest. Come you "woke folks" should know this.

Is Detroit a shithole because of US foreign policy? If we owe 3rd world nation's something, do other 1st world nation's owe us something? Did our policy make them rich? No. Internal policy is more to blame.

Importing socialists here out of guilt has turned nice So Cal neighborhoods into shitholes in a matter of decades. Compound that with media and public education furthering the myth that all is to blame on Western culture, it doesn't bode well for my children's future. This has been the downfall of a number of great civilizations.

I do feel sorry for the people in the Middle East who are literally getting bombed. However I am acutely aware of the literal genocide that happened to the Byzantine Empire which is now Turkey. If Vienna had a 30% Muslim population during the two times that the Orcs Turks tried to storm their walls, Europe may have faced the same extinction.

So what you all are saying is that Honduras was a stable and sustainably prosperous nation at some point, but not now because of the US.

I wonder if they credit the wealth of Japan and Germany on our backs as well?
