Nice.

Colmes and Ed Schultz are the only lefty talkers I can think of who are even barely tolerable. Schultz has had Dr. Paul on his program a few times too.

Not because he's brainless, because he's a professional straw man.

Do you all think that this will be an effective opportunity for drawing attention and winning over more "liberal" voters, Democrats, etc? How popular is Colmes' show? I don't really know anything about him, except that he's the ugly "liberal" and Hannity is the more attractive (but far more obnoxious--at least he was to Dr. Paul) "conservative" on their TV show.
How much do you think this interview will increase the (positive) attention on Dr. Paul?

From the American Conservative:
"Millions take dictation from talk radio, keep I-hate-Barbra-Streisand books climbing the bestseller lists, and enjoy the nightly spectacle of Alan Colmes being waterboarded."

The Economist:
"Meanwhile Fox News, which broadcast the debate, continued its tradition of balancing good-looking conservative pundits with liberals who look either weird or bearded."

I don't respect Hannity more because at least Colmes will have Ron Paul on his show. I really don't like Hannity and I think that Ron Paul should go on his show, as well as Glen Beck's show, who I think is starting to really like Ron Paul.

ZOMG, Ron Paul wants cameras in my bathroom!!

I hope you were being sarcastic and I read that wrong...

He was making fun of the "government's" argument that "preventing people from getting blowed up in the UK is due to CCTV cameras watching us in public"... RP was saying that "...more people die drowning in their bathtub, so does that mean we need a government camera in every bathroom now?" I thought it was a classic illustration of the stupidity of the establishment's excuses for imposing on our privacy.

Humble is good....I guess it was laced with just too much doubt for my liking. It was kind of a long passage and I can't remember exactly what he said. It was more the tone of it I think. Sorry...wish I could quote it for you.

On a side note, I love listening to RP interviews. He's so sharp and quick. Not once have I heard him hesitate or repeat a question to prepare his answer. People have tried to catch him off-guard and corner him many time... some of them true professionals at entrapment, and he's never (that I've heard) gotten stuck. Truth works! Go Dr. Paul!

I loved the interview and I have more respect now for Mr. Colmes, but I wish RP would have mentioned at least a little about the Iowa event. He was on a perfect track talking about the meetup groups when Colmes asked how the campaign was going. RP could've even jabbed a little at the lack of local and big media coverage there. I dunno. Easy to critique from the sidelines, I guess. Otherwise great interview. He's gaff-proof.

Yes, I heard that. But that was the only guy he let talk for more than 10 seconds. Another caller started bring up monetary policy - might have mentioned fiat money - and Alan shut him right down.
