I am a member of the NRA. Yesterday in the mail I received a letter from the NRA-PVF containing a ballot for the first ever NRA-PVF straw poll. This is the first time they have ever done this before.
I just wanted to alert NRA members to keep an eye on their mailbox for this letter. It is important to mail in your ballot.
:D

I would be surprised if he won, most liberty gun owners are in GOA.

RonPaulCentral,
You should consider joining Gun Owners of America instead and bringing as many members as you can over as well.
It's important that the rank and file NRA members start realizing their organization is actively working against their interests.

Be a member of both. The NRA is good in many ways but the GOA is better on principled defense of liberty. I'll be checking my mail. I've been an NRA member for 15 years or so and I'm 30 now.

The NRA is for more guncontrol and more gun laws, They are no longer for the 2nd hard core. I was a member of NRA untill GOA endorsed RP and they wouldn't. I switched to GOA and canceled my NRA membership. GOA all the way.Screw the NRA. If they have to waite to see who is leading to decide after seeing RP record, they can kiss our asses.

Well I've never seen the NRA take a position like this and I think this guy is speaking for himself. I agree that the GOA is much better. The NRA will accept some compromises in order to advance an overall reduced gun control policy. I disagree with some of those compromises. I'll have to look more before canceling my membership.

The NRA is a great hunting lobby. That's what the 2nd Amendment is all about right?

Did everyone else get this email? The last email I got from the NRA was this morning, something about discounted hearing aides. I haven't received anything about a straw poll in the last few days.

I wouldn't be suprised if he won. I would be suprised if the NRA acknowledged it though.

The reason I am a member of the NRA is because the gun club I am a member of requires you to be a member of the NRA to be an active member. So I have no choice... I don't want to drop my membership in the gun club. The outdoor range is far to nice.... :)
Plus where else can I shoot my Barret 82A1/M107 ????

Sure enough... ;)
But it doesn't go out of the house to visit the range that often at $8.00 per round... :p

Most liberty ACTIVISTS are in GOA..... but NRA still has head over heals more liberty gun lovers than GOA. GOA is relatively new compared to the NRA and many staunchly pro-gun individuals still have never even heard of GOA, especially the older less internet savvy types (my grandfather).
