We funded this border wall several times over the years. Trump can’t fund it himself, and I understand some construction is underway. And Trump has done more for the unborn than any other president. I don’t see how Carlson can say this on these two issues.

Trump is not going to be perfect. He has definitely taken some steps in the right direction. Now that he has seen the DOD audit, let’s see if he will cut the military budget next year.

I dunno, Hillary would have broken even more promises. We all want America First but we also have to face reality.

Easy to criticize while sitting in cushy Foxnews studios, does he now what kind of financial funding and other pressures are put on sometimes on our elected efficials?
Obama faced both money pressures and things like infamous Atlanta Andrew Adler threat scandal over Iran from nefarious folks. Luckliy situation is better under MAGA now but there was still funding threat for GOP from a respected anti-Iran top neocon (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?528991-Respected-Neocon-former-Democrat-turned-MAGA-top-funder-wants-GOP-to-shape-up&p=6716888&viewfull=1#post6716888) just past week.

Tucker's a terrible name; $#@! Tucker, Tucker sucks.

Don't get me started on Tucker. He seems to be from same trouble maker group of conservatives that GOP base darlings Steve Bannon and Ann Coulter belong to. So quick to attack bi-partisan MAGA ( who wants to work with Pelosi) and even his top funder sometimes. They had joined some gun owners group also and have been even attacking MAGA's bipartisan picks for top foreign policy slots and host of other things using very harsh terms.

...which is to say not conservatives at all.

Being a regular shill on FOX News does not make one a conservative.

...it makes one a tribal shill.

...

“His chief promises were that he would build the wall, de-fund Planned Parenthood, and repeal Obamacare, and he hasn’t done any of those things,” Carlson told Urs Gehriger of the Swiss weekly Die Weltwoche.
...
“Trump asked basic questions like ‘Why don’t our borders work?’ ‘Why should we sign a trade agreement and let the other side cheat?’ Or my favorite of all, ‘What’s the point of NATO?’,” Carlson said. “The point of NATO was to keep the Soviets from invading western Europe but they haven’t existed in 27 years, so what is the point?”

Tucker holds a special place in RP lore as the douchebag that introduced the newsletter thing into the media right before the 08 Iowa caucus. He showed that he does what he's told. I'm sorta surprised he's managed to remain relevant for so long.

He's not wrong about Trump here though, but who really thought Trump would keep those campaign promises in the first place??

Well I was going by lazy popular terminology and you have a point. He probably identifies as a "libertarian".
In reality there are almost ZERO conservatives on the scene in either party currently, it's mostly a thaetre between anti-conserve, big borrow/spenders former left wingers turned RINOS and regular left wingers.

And yet RP had him later MC the Rally for the Republic in September.

Was funny that Tucker had a temper tantrum and left (Tucker was promised no speaker would go into 911) over Jesse Ventura mentioning 911 and his suspicion why the FBI didn't list Osama on their top ten list or any charges against Osama, etc.

The irony is that if RP were running for Pres now and the newsletter thing came up, there'd be boatloads of Republican singing his frickin' praises over them! Trump has essentially made stuff like what was in the newsletters a-ok to talk about now. Even commonplace on a lot of forums and comment sections. Weird.

*failed to keep his promises to you Tucker. Isn't a well known political axiom that not all promises are equal? The promisee, certainly, needs be taken into account. From what I understand 'we' are still 'breaking windows' over there in the 'desert' (killing people too) if you catch my drift.

I must have missed the promise clause.

To give credit where due, he did act on this promise.

Need to confirm from other sources but there are claims that Tucker was banned (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?532044-CPAC-2019-unofficial-thread&p=6760299&viewfull=1#post6760299) from CPAC 2019.

But did he have to say this also?

Quote:
Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson set straight any misinformation concerning his views on President Trump: “I don’t think he’s capable,” he said during an interview on Tuesday.

Words like this and those being used by Coulter could drain MAGA's support among the base. He can win 2020 by just support from bluedog Dems, minorities. Coulter just got hit by another strongly worded MAGA tweet, he could be next.
