Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) is poised to lead the Senate Judiciary Committee after Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) announced he is stepping aside from that role to become chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.
Graham would oversee judicial confirmations if he becomes Judiciary Committee chairman. "If I am chairman next year, if we keep the majority and Senator Grassley (R., Iowa) moves over–and I hope he doesn't because I think he's done a great job–I'm going to remember this," Graham said.
