Is it possible for politicians to take big money from nefarious lobbyists/money baggers/puppet masters etc and yet serve liberty causes?

This is general question for any politics experts here, even if it has been raised in recent months in the context of MAGA being funded by a left wing liberal democrat globalist.

It is possible, whether or not it is probable is something you must judge for yourself based on the actions of that politician.

Ron Paul was supported by Peter Thiel.

Depends . Yes I can accept money from anyone and remain principled . Most people though have no real intention of remaining principled when they accept it .

Good point, but key word is "big money" (or "laegest funder") and not just some supporter like PT who is not nefarious war mongering globalist lobbies tool.

Downside could be that your funder may see you as 'disloyal' and may complain about bad customer service :)

Define 'big money'.

Yes, they can conceivably get what mundanes will call big money to get elected if they sell themselves to the corporate CEOs convincingly enough.

But the people with big money aren't like rank and file partisan suckers. They'll take getting lied to and keep right on voting for their team, rah, rah, rah! Fail to deliver for the big money interests and come reelection time you'll find your every opponent is wealthy as sin--and you're not.
