Actor Gerald Butler was criticized by pro-Palestinian supporters on social media for backing the Israel military after sharing a photo of his California home that was destroyed by one of the wildfires currently ravaging the state.

Earlier this month, the “300” star attended the annual Friends of the IDF (FIDF) Western Region Gala in Los Angeles, where a record $60 million was raised (https://www.algemeiner.com/2018/11/05/friends-of-idf-raise-record-60-million-at-la-gala/) and then donated to Israeli soldiers. The event was hosted by Israeli-American philanthropist Haim Saban and his wife, Cheryl.
The Scottish actor posted on Sunday on Twitter and Instagram a photo (https://www.instagram.com/p/BqDOMy5Fz69/) of him standing in front of his smoldering remnants of his Malibu home. He said he was “inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters,” and asked his fans to support the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Israel haters commented on his Instagram photo, calling Butler a “f–king Zionist,” a “criminal and a piece of human trash for supporting the IDF,” and claiming that his house burned down “because you support murderers.” One Instagram user wrote,”that [is] what you deserve when you support the Zionists” and another asked Butler, “You ever thought it was Gods karma for raising $60 million dollars for IDF soldiers to kill Palestinians? Just a thought.” Another user wrote “Israhell occupied palestinian land but very soon they will be defeated.”

Twitter users were just as cruel and commented on Butler’s photo, saying, (https://twitter.com/NawidTheGrinder/status/1061856153758392320) “That $60 million you helped raise for the scumbag IDF soldiers in Beverly Hills to further oppress the Palestinian people would really come in handy right now wouldn’t it????!!! Your a scumbag Zionist mouthpiece. I don’t feel a bit sorry for you!!!” Butler was also accused (https://twitter.com/yellowled22/status/1061827633208389632) of backing “the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians” and one post said (https://twitter.com/TONYWILL101/status/1061757755483021312) Palestinians were “constantly losing their homes” to the IDF, “the same terrorists you support and help raise funds for. You should be ashamed.”

In tragic coincidence, violence has erupted in Israel-Palestnian territories and photos of burnt vehicles are in news from there :

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — Palestinian militants bombarded Israel with dozens of rockets and mortar shells Monday while Israeli warplanes struck targets throughout the Gaza Strip in what appeared to be the most intense exchange of fire since a 2014 war.

Palestinian officials said at least three people, including two militants, were killed by Israeli fire and nine were wounded, and an Israeli airstrike destroyed the ruling Hamas group's TV station. In Israel, the national rescue service said at least seven people were wounded, including a 19-year-old soldier who was in critical condition.

The fighting, triggered by a botched undercover Israeli military raid in Gaza, cast doubt over recent understandings brokered by Egypt and U.N. officials to reduce tensions. Just a day earlier, Israel's prime minister had defended those understandings, saying he was doing everything possible to avoid another war.

The undercover troops, apparently on a reconnaissance mission, were discovered several kilometers (miles) inside Gaza on Sunday, setting off a battle that left seven militants, including a Hamas commander, and an Israeli military officer dead.

Around sundown on Monday, militants launched some 100 rockets in less than an hour, the most intense barrage since the 50-day war four years ago.

The outgoing rockets, which continued into the evening, lit up the skies of Gaza and set off air raid sirens throughout southern Israel.

FIDF Western Gala in Beverly Hills Raises Record $60 Million

This is great, I'm sure the money will be put to good use. I'm sure their fleets of armored bulldozers could probably use a bit of repair, after all the wear & tear from bulldozing so many houses.

What do you mean ?

Palestine doesn't exist. It's not even a thing. It's just a group of people who are illegally squatting on Israel's land.

Sort of like Jews in Germany, Austria, Poland were "squatting" on Europe's land in the past century and then what MAGA's supporter and fellow Texan Pastor Hagee described has Hitler G-d's hand pushed them to their promised land to fulfill prophecy?

Benefit of enaggement, people's views become clear.
