Waiting for Trump to tweet about how bad this is for American's privacy. It'll be soon I'm sure. Any moment now.

Today the US Transportation Security Administration released a detailed TSA Biometric Roadmap for Aviation Security & the Passenger Experience, making explicit the goal of requiring mug shots (to be used for automated facial recognition and image-based surveillance and control) as a condition of all domestic or international air travel.

For a government that acts like it opposes China, it sure seems in a hurry to emulate them.

For those that don't know, "Stakeholders" means the people and corporations that own us and profit from us.

We all knew this was coming. I suspect we all suspect that nobody is going to raise enough of a fuss to even complain about it mildly, much less stop it. Therefore, we once again have only ourselves to thank.

I take it we've all seen Minority Report, yes? That world is coming, and not so far off, such that you won't be able to wipe your ass in private anymore. I look forward to death taking me to oblivion because that is preferable to someone lensing my sphincter. Some things are private... but not for Themme.

It is an ironic twist that the only people on the planet for whom there should be very next to no privacy (Themme) are the only ones who will have it, while the rest of us get our bootus-holes lensed 24x365. The sadly laughable bit is that we will tolerate it and eventually not even notice it. Knowing the filth that is vulgar humanity, the day will come when Johnny Meaner will not know how to be comfortable without the comforting eye of the governmob gazing at his brutus-hole. He will demand an eye on his eye and become very upset about any absence. Don't laugh. Crazier things have happened.

As for China, who can say what is truth there? I know for certain that there are those who truly understand what China is about and oppose them for all the correct reasons. Whether that extends to Trump... who can say? The Donald is proving a most curious president in that no matter how many things he does that runs in a direction better than that in which we have been lead over the past 30 years, he still manages to squeeze out the occasional gem that leaves me wondering what he is really about, the least of these being his praise for police. I cannot judge him definitively on the matter because I can see it as a strategy to keep the "right" people on his side. To have police against you as president would prove very risky, even for Trump. So who can say where he really stands? Sad it is indeed that we live in such a time where we stand so deeply betrayed by politics that we cannot trust our own eyes and stand suspicious at everything we think we see.

Humans.

Has The Texan been humping your leg? Seems he's rubbing off.

EEEeeeewww... I just grossed myself right out.

Would you like to visit our human plantation, sir? We were able to convince them their brains have no value and now herd them like animals. You will also be impressed with the housing densities we've been able to achieve.

Reason #411 to fly private charters.

Reason #411 to fly private charters.

Far too expensive. My only real option.

Expansion of the domestic police state? Pffft. Nobody cares. Too busy checking under their beds for "illegal" immigrants. Promise to protect them from the "immigrant peril" and you can do almost anything else you want without much resistance. (ETA: Hell, you don't even have to actually DELIVER on the promise.)

At first blush, I suppose. But if you have a group flying with you, it becomes reasonable real fast. Especially, when you factor in the all the costs of flying commercial. When you fly a charter, you show up and get on the plane. None of that rectal scanning. None of that waiting in one line after another with the dregs of humanity. None of that unruly kid kicking your seat. None of that unbearable body odor from the dude beside you. None of that sickness from being in a flying petri dish with every imaginable illness. No lost luggage. No dealing with lazy ticket-takers, flight attendants, security cretins...

I mean the list really goes on and on. You pay a little more, but the value is worth so much more! Trust me - splurge a time or two and you'll never go back.

Trump promised RFID. I can't wait for technology to catch up so that I can get my very own rice-sized implant. It'll make my day to day life, and my travel experience so much more pleasant.

Yeah....the key is finding a group of people that want to fly where you want when you want. There was a flight sharing company similar to Uber a few years ago, but the FAA killed it.

Bastards!

It looks like someone else is giving it a shot though.

Yeah, I wish they had that when I first got my pilot's license! It would have made building my hours much, much cheaper!

Per the TSA - not only International travel, but Domestic travel as well.

And once conditioned, keep in mind that Domestic travel will also include trains and busses.

And once conditioned, Domestic travel, such as state to state in your own vehicle, much like the toll booths that you choose whether to take or not, will no longer be a choice.

And once conditioned, no matter where you go Domestically, YOU will be a 24/7 walking tracking device.

But we won't be slow roasted on spits by hordes of "illegal" immigrants, so there's that.
