View Full Version : Tea Party 07 Visits are Huge!

12-12-2007, 10:45 PM
I just did the calculations and found that 14% of all people who visit teaparty07.com are anticipated donors. 14% of people agreeing to take action rather than just viewing the site, that's pretty big.

The key is to keep doing what we all are doing and talking up the man we believe in, but if we can get more folks to visit teaparty07, and the sooner they see the transparency of a live tally, I think the sooner we see these numbers go up and up.

Yeah, I realized that I will lose a whole lot more than $100.00 of my personal wealth if Ron Paul isn't elected. It was a no-brainer for me.

Could someone please update teaparty '07 Pledges and Visitors? We don't want to lose momentum: 29,970 pledges at 12:06 pm EST 12/13/07, 210,762 total visitors - 12/10/07

Trevor or Nathaniel, is the "visitor count" unique visitors or visits?

On nov 5th, I think I remember that 1/4 of the visitors ended up donating. And the average was like $120 or $150...

The Tea Party sight seems to be counting unique visitors as I tested it out earlier today and was not recounted on each visit.

The counting is not real time so you could not tell by just visiting the site. It would always show the same count cause it has not been updated.

How exactly are the visits counted? Are they at least semi-unique? (I know it can't tell the difference from me at home or on my laptop, cell phone, etc.--but it would be awesome to see how many unique IP addresses have hit the site.) But even way more awesome would be a graph of unique visits per day since it was started--that way we could see the effect of the USA Today ad, etc.

That feature had been on the site like the first couple weeks, where it showed the updated total for each new day. Then that went away.

The Feedburner API only allows updates every 24 hours.
I don't have a source handy for you at the moment, but I am told the number is page views, not unique visitors.

Well, I saw on the site "Please pledge via feedburner below to confirm your commitment to donate.
Each day you'll receive an email with our total number of subscribers.
In this way we will know exactly where we stand in our efforts.
Our goal is 100,000 subscribers.

Then I went to my yahoo email that i used to pledge, but never check, and searched for those teaparty update emails, and found only this:

Hello there,

OOPS--how many other people did that?

Anyway--does anybody have all the daily emails? Do they show the day to day tally of unique visits? Are there spikes--like after the USA Today ad?
