View Full Version : Getting the Religious Right to Rally Behind Ron Paul

This is by no means an exhaustive examination of how to garner Christian conservative votes for Ron, but with Huckabee surging because of his Evangelical endorsements, something's got to be done to make the power-wielding pastors see the light. This is from an email I just sent Lew Rockwell:

"According to some media outlets, the religious right may have become disaffected with the 'squabble' between Romney and Huckabee today (http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_121207/content/01125112.guest.html), and with the dirty ditties of Huck's past starting to creep up, inside Democratic political strategists saying to "hold fire" on him since he's an easy target/their 'McGovern', how about mounting a full-court press right now to try and wake these Evangelicals up, along with all the others who take their cues from them?

We both know the ONLY reason Huckabee has risen from relative obscurity to front-runner status in the last several weeks is because of the endorsements he received from Evangelical/pro-Israeli organizations (http://www.evangelicaloutpost.com/archives/004044.html). Ron makes it pretty clear in his response to the question asked in the latter half of the video 'Christians for Ron Paul' (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4578640723695582811) that Israel can take care of themselves, they don't need us to be in the Middle East to protect the Holy Land. That's got to be the only reason (besides trying to fulfill the prophecy in Matthew 24:14 by spreading Christian scripture in the Muslim world) that the Evangelicals endorse Huckabee instead of Paul, because Huck wants to stay, and Paul wants to go. Yet Ron fully understands the correctly interpreted duties of Christians to keep our own house clean.

I realize that an endorsement of Ron from Christian activist groups might disenfranchise some of his supporters, as they don't particularly care for the 'religious right', but if Ron is to ride a wave to the top of the polls for the GOP primary, this is one wave we can't miss. I don't care much for easily manipulated polls either, but as some may say, 'perception is reality', and right now Huckabee is perceived as God's golden boy.

What do you think? Can we make a pitch for Ron Paul, the true conservative with a record to prove it? Thanks for your time."

What say you?:)

You can try but it will take divine intervention to happen. Ron believes in freedom - that's not what evangelicals are about as a rule.
