Are they really authoritarian socialists or is it a satirical joke site? It is so messed up I can't figure out if it is real. It's almost like fredthompsonforum.com but with Marx, Lenin, and Stalin. Either way they seem to viscously bash freedom, capitalism, free markets, the Constitution, and Ron Paul at every turn.

They are the blue state to the red state. Threatened by us, frightened by us, and reacting to us as one who is both does. Outraged at our disagreement with them. They are frustrated by our roots in our national heritage. And ultimately frustrated by the philosophical parallels to the foundational documents that frame our government and personal philosophies of the founders of this nation.

They are the other face of evil. Those who will call the moral justification for liberty heartless. Those who will insult the very documents we will cite as our backbone, termining them "anachronistic" or "outdated". Citing that the founding fathers could never have known about such technological advancements as the interwebs. Never could have known about the massive pollution caused by the industrial revolution. Never could have prepared for a service based society in a global world fueled by supernational treaties. That those constitutional laws are too complex for the layman to understand. And asides, when easily understood they are either situational or mean something entirely different than what the actual interpretation is.

Wonkette is in short, the blumbering idiot we will someday face. Fast to insult slow to retort. Wasted wit and manufactured intellect provided by a steady stream of corporate driven liberalism completely unaware of where it's manufactured thought has originated.

So it's real?

I ask because I was told by a wonketter that it is fake in the sense that it is comedic satire to bash everyone and everything (like Southpark or something).

Overgrown ex-prep school girls who know only one response to anything that violates the tropes of their elitist liberal upbringing, which is to giggle.

Ha! "Wonkette" was originally a single woman who wrote a blog mostly focused on the social side of the DC political scene. The aim was to be witty and entertaining by being snarky. It has nothing to do with Dr. Paul. All Republicans, dare say I, all politicians, get the same snarky treatment. The Ron Paul grassroots really needs to get over the inferiority complex already.

(Now the blog is actually written by a group of all men, I believe, who aren't nearly as good as the original.)

At one time it was praised as a novel idea but now it is largely ignored by the press because of the sophomoric postings.

My apology to all sophomores.

That's a pretty good summation. I might have added that the blogger originally behind Wonkette bragged loud and often about laying more pipe in DC than Brooklyn Plumbing, but that's just me and my coarse way of summarizing things. Sex sells, and thusly so did Wonkette for a while, at least until the original slut finally closed her legs to anything with a pulse and a day job, and a whole new crop of wannabe sluts took over.
