LOL @25:00

Cruz: "I'm sorry you don't like thoughts and prayers..."

That was an unforced error by O'Rourke.

No Beto than O'Rourke = Lyin' Ted

Is this a real debate? Is this the real news or the fake news? Are these real people or are they paid actors?

Yes to all of the above.
Yes it is a real debate.
Yes it is real news and fake news.
Yes they are real people and paid actors.

I'm 3/4 of the way through it. Cruz is coming across better.

Roberto: we are a nation of laws(28:00)

Also Roberto: illegal aliens should be rewarded with citizenship

After reading another thread, we should allow them in and escort them directly to the penitentiary because that is where they are likely to end up.

Roberto supports the 2nd amendment, but wants to ban the AR-15 because it’s a weapon that kills; a weapon of war; a weapon that makes a huge hole with its bullets.

:rolleyes:I was surprised Cruz didn't point that out.

If I was running the Cruz campaign I would play the heck out of that part where Beto is talking about bullet holes, the guy is afraid of hunting rifles. Game over.

That was an unforced error by O'Rourke. The no more thoughts and prayers line Beto used is a common staple of far left twitter accounts calling for gun control. It doesn't play well with the people who actually vote in Texas.

It is interesting that in the alternate universe of liberal Twitter, Cruz did bad in the debate. I think he comes across great. I didn't watch the whole video, but Cruz knows how to control a debate. The optics of Cruz vs the other guy remind me of professional sports vs high school sports. I don't see this race being close on election day. I could see this being a double digit win.

So much material to use against Roberto. I couldn’t help but visualize Rick from “rick and morty” everytime Roberto was the focus.

You clearly knew who was a better actor after watching Cruz answer the questions.

I gotta admit, Beto came prepared and executed well this debate. Still, his socialist agenda is just not for the right state. This is Texas and Ted knows exactly what to say to secure his base.

To put it in perspective he raised the same amount in the last three months that Ron did altogether in 2012 and Ron was a pretty good fundraiser. I believe he has raised more than any Senate challenger and maybe any Senate candidate in history.

It is baffling because Cruz has no chance of losing no matter how much he gets pounded on the airwaves and media. https://www.yahoo.com/news/texas-democrat-slipping-polls-crucial-us-election-race-171610481.html

The left needed a hero and Beto was it because he was so close to Ted Cruz in the polls. Those were "fck you Republicans" donations.

Its good though because that $70MM+ could've been donated in actually winnable Dem races. Beto squandered his donations flooding Texas with very expensive yard signs.

He will never see those numbers again.

Just watching this, I guess. I think Cruz killed him. O'Rourke just feels very JV no matter what race he would be in. Cruz has great answers. The only thing I will say is Cruz is looking extremely fat and sloppy. That will probably cost him more than anything. O'Rourke has a better look and that is predictive of winning but I don't think he comes across well at all when he speaks. He sounds slightly dumb.

I find it highly amusing as well that he has far worse juvenile record than Kavanaugh. A DWI and burglary. Cool.

I'm going to not watch it and assume that they're both useless assholes.

(well, not an assumption in the case of Cruz, as he's been around for a while)
