New York Governor Andrew Cuomo easily defeated Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon, shutting down the Democratic Socialist who framed her first-time candidacy as a fight for the direction of the Democratic party in New York and beyond.

Nobody was excited about her candidacy. NY isn't just left-leaning, they're left-leaning and love the establishment. The populist wave sweeping the US and the West as a whole missed NY, or at least the Five Boroughs, which we all know runs the state anyway.
