There was a mass shooting in Jacksonville, Fla., early Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the shooting occurred at the Jacksonville Landing, a festival marketplace in the city’s downtown area. In a statement on Twitter, the Sheriff’s Office urged the public to stay away from the area and said it was not safe.

I think Trump or someone recently claimed there were 200 or 300 murders in Chicago one weekend, and then the liberal press came out and said there was only 1.

Apparently the people he played with predicted that one day he would shoot up a game tournament or something. He had an ongoing years long beef with the guy he shot.

David Katz has been identified as the mass shooter at Jacksonville Landing.

Jacksonville, FL - Sheriff Mike Williams announced Sunday evening that the mass shooter who opened fire at a Madden 19 tournament has been identified as 24-year-old David Katz of Baltimore.

The incident happened at Chicago Pizza at around 1:34 p.m. after Katz allegedly lost a Madden 19 tournament. The sheriff declined to confirm the motive at this time, but Katz was at the scene to participate in the tournament.

Katz used a handgun to open fire on people at the tournament, killing two people, and wounding 10 more. He then used his gun to kill himself.

The shooting has prompted renewed calls for gun control and eliminating "toxic masculinity." The calls to blame "male" culture have been recently renewed as some in Mollie Tibbetts's family blamed men for her murder by an illegal alien.

I've seen way too much evidence of most of these "shootings" being various levels of fake to accept any of them at face value. Now here's one geared toward the gamers. They sure seem to tag every young demographic these days, don't they? Never forget Holder's statement about brainwashing kids into thinking differently about guns. Good rule of thumb: If it's sprawled across CNN's front page, it's probably bullshit.

Ryen Aleman, 25, of Robstown, Texas, died in a single-vehicle accident Sunday, said Sgt. Nathan Brandley, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Brandley said Aleman was traveling west on Highway 44 when he lost control of his vehicle. The highway connects Corpus Christi with the farming town of Robstown. Robstown is about 20 miles west of Corpus Christi and has a population of about 12,000.

The vehicle overturned several times and crashed into nearby railroad tracks. Aleman was not wearing a seatbelt, Brandley said. more at link
