Why did the L.W.V. lose there right to put on presidential debates in the first place?

Anyone? They use to put on a legit debate.

It was taken from them by the political parties basically because they did what they were supposed to. It's a very scandalous story and I forget most of it but the LWV are still totally pissed about it and we really need to give it back to them. I believe they set up a 'presidential debate commission' or something which was run by D and R party loyalists. Part of the issue might have had to do something with allowing 3rd parties in the debates as I recall but I think most was because they asked hard hitting relevant questions. Just another casualty of this horrid machine running our country.
