Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman has said she walked in on President Donald Trump eating paper after a meeting with lawyer Michael Cohen, in what she believed was an effort to destroy sensitive information.

In her new book—Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House—Newman makes a series of disturbing, and amusing, allegations about the president’s conduct.

According to an excerpt of the book obtained by The Washington Post, Newman recalls, “I saw him put a note in his mouth. Since Trump was ever the germaphobe, I was shocked he appeared to be chewing and swallowing the paper. It must have been something very, very sensitive.”

MAGA generally surrounds himself with the bestest/smartest, non-nepotismic peoples but once in a while non-bests like Omarosa, Nikki Haley, Steve "loser" Bannon, Rex Tillerson, McMaster slip through the cracks.

To give credit where due, POTUS has acted very Presidential by not tweeting after recent attacks by Omarosa where she clearly crossed the line, assuming this NBC reporting is not fakenews.

Omarosa claims in new book: Trump 'racist,' used N-word, tried to buy her silence

The former "Apprentice" contestant's White House tell-all, "Unhinged," is set to be released next week. NBC News obtained a copy from the publisher.

Omarosa Manigault Newman, the former "Apprentice" contestant who became a White House aide, says in her new book that President Donald Trump is a "racist" who used the N-word — and tried to silence her with money and legal threats.
In her upcoming tell-all book entitled "Unhinged," to be published next week and obtained by NBC News directly from the publisher, Newman alleges that Trump was caught on a microphone saying the N-word "multiple times" during the filming of "The Apprentice," and says there is a tape to prove her allegation.

This is the dual nature of the MAGA.

Saw MSNBC video clip on this story that read something like 'Manigault was the highest-ranking African-American to leave Trump White House' (not exact same words).
From earlier reports of departures, don't recall them highlighting race/ethnicity. Gary Cohen's departure was not reported while identifying him as highest ranking Jewish-American or another departure earlier as departure of highest ranking Arab-American to leave Trump White House.

In other news, WH has turned on her .. assuming this is not fakenews:

At one point, he was asked about former White House adviser and reality star Newman. She has a new book, in which she has accusing him of displaying odd behaviors and using racially charged epithets.
"Lowlife. She's a lowlife," Trump responded.

Meet the guys who tape Trump's papers back together

Solomon Lartey spent the first five months of the Trump administration working in the Old Executive Office Building, standing over a desk with scraps of paper spread out in front of him.

Lartey, who earned an annual salary of $65,969 as a records management analyst, was a career government official with close to 30 years under his belt. But he had never seen anything like this in any previous administration he had worked for. He had never had to tape the president’s papers back together again.

Armed with rolls of clear Scotch tape, Lartey and his colleagues would sift through large piles of shredded paper and put them back together, he said, “like a jigsaw puzzle.” Sometimes the papers would just be split down the middle, but other times they would be torn into pieces so small they looked like confetti.

It was a painstaking process that was the result of a clash between legal requirements to preserve White House records and President Donald Trump’s odd and enduring habit of ripping up papers when he’s done with them — what some people described as his unofficial “filing system.”

Under the Presidential Records Act, the White House must preserve all memos, letters, emails and papers that the president touches, sending them to the National Archives for safekeeping as historical records.

But White House aides realized early on that they were unable to stop Trump from ripping up paper after he was done with it and throwing it in the trash or on the floor, according to people familiar with the practice. Instead, they chose to clean it up for him, in order to make sure that the president wasn’t violating the law.

Staffers had the fragments of paper collected from the Oval Office as well as the private residence and send it over to records management across the street from the White House for Lartey and his colleagues to reassemble.

“We got Scotch tape, the clear kind,” Lartey recalled in an interview. “You found pieces and taped them back together and then you gave it back to the supervisor.” The restored papers would then be sent to the National Archives to be properly filed away.

Lartey said the papers he received included newspaper clips on which Trump had scribbled notes, or circled words; invitations; and letters from constituents or lawmakers on the Hill, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

“I had a letter from Schumer — he tore it up,” he said. “It was the craziest thing ever. He ripped papers into tiny pieces.”

Lartey did not work alone. He said his entire department was dedicated to the task of taping paper back together in the opening months of the Trump administration.

Omarosa Manigault Newman's former White House colleagues are looking into legal options to stop her from releasing more tapes and to punish her for secretly recording her conversation with Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly, White House officials tell ABC News.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders responded to Manigault Newman’s appearance on Meet the Press during which she played one of the recordings she made in the Situation Room when she was being fired after working as an assistant to President Donald Trump and director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison.

Omarosa Manigault Newman is no stranger to failing in The White House. She became well known by television viewers of NBC’s hit show “The Apprentice” with Donald Trump.
Now, after being let go for personal issues, she’s using that closeness to President Trump to make millions by calling her former boss a racist and a liar. She made the situation worse by illegally recording herself insecure parts of the White House. (RELATED: Omarosa Could be in Legal Trouble Over Secret White House Recordings (https://thepoliticalinsider.com/omarosa-taped-conversations-legal-trouble/)).
But this isn’t Omarosa’s first series of White House problems. She worked in the Clinton Administration under Vice President Al Gore. As Al Gore’s former office administrator Mary Margaret Overbey said at the time, Omarosa “was the worst hire (the Office of the Vice President) ever made.”
People magazine reported (https://people.com/celebrity/omarosas-long-history-of-being-fired/) in 2004, she was “banished from four jobs in two years with the Clinton administration.” The White House personnel office transferred her to the Commerce Department briefly. At her last short-lived administration role, Cheryl Shavers, the former Under Secretary for Technology at the Clinton Commerce Department, opined, “She was asked to leave as quickly as possible, she was so disruptive. One woman wanted to slug her.” Omarosa only lasted in that final role for several weeks.
Another Clinton administration official reported she was fired “because she couldn’t get along with people.” Another former Gore staffer noted, “she didn’t do her job, and it got everyone in trouble.”
She has been busted for exaggerating her roles in the Clinton administration, too. As Omarosa told an audience in Washington, D.C. on March 19, 2004, at a panel discussion on “Wearing the Pants: A Woman’s Experience in a Man’s World”:

“I have done logistics and advance and event planning for the White House under the Gore staff. … At 23, I got appointed to the White House. That was not a place to learn how to be a young professional. That’s a very difficult environment, because they don’t believe in training. They just kind of throw you in the fire.”
The problem? Anonymous Gore staffers confirmed Omarosa never was involved in advance work or logistics. Her job was “to respond to invitations.”
When asked about her employment history, Omarosa falsely claimed the shifting was due to her marriage to Aaron Stallworth. They have since divorced, and Omarosa married John Newman in 2017.

Omarosa Manigault (https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrities/omarosa-manigault-stallworth)has penned a passionate essay defending her former Apprentice boss, Donald Trump (https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrities/donald-trump), against allegations of racism and sexism, and revealing how the president-elect was there for her after her brother’s murder and the sudden death of her then-fiancé, actor Michael Clarke Duncan.

“I’m black, female, and Donald Trump is my friend,” the former reality star wrote in The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, December 6. “In my experiences with him, he has only been professional. I am aware of the perceptions. But he is open-minded: He does not judge people on their gender or race. He judges them on their ability to do the job,” she wrote of the real estate mogul.
Addressing claims of sexism, Manigault said Trump’s companies have more female executives than his competition and pays them more, and pointed out his daughter Ivanka Trump “is about to take over the company.”

Friday was a very, very bad day for Donald Trump

Analysis by Chris Cillizza, CNN Editor-at-large
Fri December 7, 2018

CNN)On Friday, President Donald Trump (and the rest of us) got the most fulsome look into the inner workings of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation yet. And what Trump saw has to terrify him.

What was on display -- in sentencing documents for former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen and a memo detailing how one-time Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort broke the terms of his plea agreement -- was the depth and breadth of what Mueller and his team are investigating, what they already know and just how close they are to the President himself.
