I wonder if this is actually a spoof on the saying "Better dead than Red"?
I worked for a t-shirt-making place in the 80's and that was one of our popular classics, along with "Kill a Commie for Mommy" and "Kill 'em all - Let God sort 'em out". Bill Kristol is probably not familiar with such things, but an older veteran would be.

Politics aside, that is a truly hideous shirt with an awful design.

As a former T-shirt artist, I have to agree.

Choosing their sick twisted policies of risking peace for political gain and personal vendetta against Trump, would be making a choice of voting for the end times both home and abroad.
If the Democrats succeeded in their coup and implemented a one party dictatorship, you bet half the country would chose Russia over them and over the likes of that evil blood thirsty Neocon.

“We need to take one shot at liberating the Republican Party from Trump, and conservatism from Trumpism,” Kristol told the New York Times in August 2017.
