It's not surprising to me that he's a bigot. Lot's of people hate us "Mormons". I love it when someone tries to tell ME what I believe. Especially when they try to twist it for their own benefit.

Maybe I should send the missionaries to Huck? :D

Not that I care, but I've always heard that was true as well. Huckabee is pandering like crazy to these Christian conservatives. He's willing to say anything to get elected. I hope Romney opens up ALL the can of worms on him now. Blast away!

Its true; mormons believe Satan and Jesus are brothers and Satan was banished to hell; remember, in the mormon religion, everybody is God's children.

So the difference between Jesus and Satan is that Satan wanted to make everybody do the right thing; everything would be equal, and there would not be any choice and no evil at all (socialism). Jesus said it should be up to be people to decide what they want, have free agency, etc... and suffer the consequences of their actions... basically a republic.

SOOO well put. You know, that could almost work from a campaign perspective.

'Satan's plan of compliance was to have those in power force you to do what is right, taking away your free agency and freedoms, for your own good. Jesus's plan of love was to give you the right to choose your path, that you could learn the best for yourself, and earn the blessings of those choices. So, who do YOU want to give the power to? Satan and the government or Jesus and yourself. You decide, 2008.'

Technically speaking though for those that don't know.

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the WORD (Christ) and the WORD (Christ) was with God and the WORD (Christ) was God."

John 1:11 "And the WORD (Christ) became manifest and dwelt among them"

Interpret that how you will.

I am pretty sure that Satan is believed by both religions to be the advocate of sin and death.

Satan was the serpent in the garden of eden that influenced Eve to eat from the tree of life. If humans ate from the tree of life, then they would be able to tell the difference between good and evil.

Otherwise they would have never known sin, and they would have had eternal paradise. As punishment for eating from the tree of life, God sentenced Man to death. Meaning we must die. Then one day be resurrected on the day of judgement. And if we chose to turn against sin, and accept Jesus as our sacrifice for our sins, then we could then gain entrance to heaven.

How does this parallel socialism and republic?

if christians still vote for a lying degenerate prick like the huckster after all these things are coming out, then they truly are fucking retarded....

How does this parallel socialism and republic?

In socialism, the state decides what is best and provides for you. In a republic, each individual decides what is best for him and his family and has the responsibility to provide it.

The mormons believe this was Satan's philosophy in the pre-existance (before he was banished to Hell); Satan would provide for our well being and there would be no "free agency." Jesus believe every person should have free agency and reap the rewards or suffer the consequences of his choices; nobody would be "forced" to do anything.

I work with some Christians that vote solely on a candidates position on gay marriage and abortion.

The next time I get a chance though I'm going to ask them how much do they eat around the holidays. If they say a lot I'm then going to be like well you know that's "gluttony" and gluttony is a sin. I'll then ask how would you feel if the government told you, you can't eat a lot for the holidays or anyday for that matter. We'll see what they think about that. lol

Huckabee is straying from being GWB2 and rapidly moving towards becoming the Republican John Edwards.
