Me and my dad were discussing Ron Paul, and the revolution he has started, and I told him that whether or not RP gets elected, he will have started a movement that neither the MSM or losing the election can stop. He, however, said that those taught in the public school, (with erroneous teachers such as communist/brainwashers) raised by neo-cons, brought up with the MSM, are to difficult to be changed to believe in what RP is advocating. I, however, believe that the support Paul has shows that he is wrong, and that eventually, The truth will set us free.
Am I right or wrong?

The key point is that the Internet is enabling people to share information in ways they could not before. That is more important than the specific details of Ron Paul.

The big problem is people who support Ron don't agree with him on everything to begin with. That is the big problem. We also a very small media presence with John Stossel being the only Libertarian candidate. Not to mention Paul is alone in his congressional ideas of freedom. The socialist Democrats is one of the largest voting blocks. They are ignorant very hateful to anyone with the message of freedom. Teachers are mostly socialist. Why? Because it's a proffesion that gives them control over people. People love bathing this idea of being able to control people whether for good or bad. In my observation not enough people hear are as commited to the idea of liberty as they are commited to Paul as a candidate. I'm very skeptical if anyone here will follow the truth till the end. The people who you can tell are really commited know all about lewrockwell.com and mises.org. Two huge places where the battle for America most come out of. Again people are lazy and they are sheep, so still I remain skeptical.

Public schooling brainwashed me my whole life and I still woke up. Anyone can if they are properly motivated.

"No, people in America are to ignorant, and will continue to succumb to brainswashing." Anyone catch the irony in this statement?

I think so many are just too busy trying to keep their heads above water to think about anything else. they are slaves.....literally.

Why would anyone want to watch ron paul when they can watch paris hilton get a face lift on TV? My point is alot of people don't really care or know and those are the people who keep voting for the most popular candidates (who are sometimes not the good ones) and the sad thing is they make up the majority. But i believe people will continue to feel this way until someone with our beliefs gets elected.

I sometimes catch my teacher saying things that promote big government so i always point out why it is bad and wrong. Things like "The government needs to do things about health care" so i raise my hand and tell him that that is not what government is meant for and that it only increases taxes and gets the government into more debt.

As long as the people have socialized schools... the people will have socialized ideas.
