Cause the deep state has blood stains on its hands.

WASHINGTON — President Trump’s longtime lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, secretly recorded a conversation with Mr. Trump two months before the presidential election in which they discussed payments to a former Playboy model who said she had an affair with Mr. Trump, according to lawyers and others familiar with the recording.

The F.B.I. seized the recording this year during a raid on Mr. Cohen’s office. The Justice Department is investigating Mr. Cohen’s involvement in paying women to tamp down embarrassing news stories about Mr. Trump ahead of the 2016 election. Prosecutors want to know whether that violated federal campaign finance laws, and any conversation with Mr. Trump about those payments would be of keen interest to them.

And get this, just moments after the news breaks out about the tape, he's already aiming for a sit-down interview with the great self-serving divider Al-Sharpton.:

Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former private attorney and current thorn in the side, has chatted with Rev. Al Sharpton — who is teasing about airing a possible interview with him on MSNBC.

“I have know Rev for almost 20 years,” Cohen wrote on Twitter about the host of MSNBC’s Sunday show “PoliticsNation.” “No one better to talk to!”

I suppose Cohen's career as a lawyer is over, since it's pretty obvious now that he can't be trusted and spies on his clients. I'm sure he'll be well taken care of, though. Gonna retire early, that one.

Anybody still clinging to the belief that the establishment doesn't see Trump as a threat? He may be nuts, but he ain't one of them.

Does NY allow single party consent to record a conversation or are they one of the states that requires both parties to consent?

Single party. Already looked that up so, no we can't use their own laws against them. They can only use them against us.

I'm guessing the state Bar association in New York is headed by liberals so probably not gonna revoke his Bar certification for breach of attorney-client privilege, either. But, the guy's a scumbag. I wouldn't hire him to defend me against a jaywalking citation.

I dunno, having tried suburban guys from Arkansa and Texas, US public seems willing to trust big city guys lately.
They recently trusted a northern big city casinos/realestate developer with Presidency of the US.

Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s (https://www.huffingtonpost.com/topic/donald-trump) former personal attorney and longtime fixer, has complained to friends about his mounting legal fees and grown frustrated that his former boss isn’t footing the bill (https://www.wsj.com/articles/michael-cohen-wants-trump-to-pay-his-legal-fees-1529447136), The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday.

Cohen is currently under investigation for possible bank fraud and campaign finance violations (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/fbi-seizes-records-related-to-stormy-daniels-in-raid-of-trump-attorney-michael-cohens-office/2018/04/09/e3e43cf4-3c30-11e8-974f-aacd97698cef_story.html?utm_term=.96a25797a81c) in relation to a $130,000 payment he made to porn star Stormy Daniels just weeks before the 2016 presidential election. Daniels claims the payment was hush money, meant to keep her from publicly disclosing an alleged affair with Trump.

In recent months, Cohen has reportedly said that he feels the legal debts are “bankrupting” him and that Trump owes him for his years of service, unnamed associates told the newspaper.

I honestly think this is fake news coming from the NY Slimes. These people are throwing everything they can at the wall hoping it will stick.

President Trump’s longtime fixer Michael Cohen recorded a conversation with CNN reporter Chris Cuomo earlier this year in which he said he arranged “on my own” a $130,000 payment in 2016 to Stormy Daniels, The Wall Street Journal reported (https://www.wsj.com/articles/trumps-former-lawyer-michael-cohen-formed-delaware-company-to-pay-playboy-model-1532526807) Wednesday.
In the nearly two-hour exchange, which the paper said appeared to have been surreptitiously recorded by Cohen, Trump’s ex-lawyer discussed at length the payment he arranged in October 2016, a month before the presidential election, to Daniels, who alleged that she had a one-night stand with Trump in 2006, shortly after his third wife Melania gave birth to their son.
“I did it on my own,” Cohen said of the payment, sources told The Journal.
The conversation took place after The Journal in January revealed that Cohen had arranged the payment to Daniels.
The paper reported that Cohen told Cuomo he wasn’t running a tape — before recording their entire conversation.

Attorney-client privilege is about what can be used as evidence in court, not about what records the attorney can keep.

Any privileged information on these tapes can't be used in court, no matter that they seized them.
