Did you hear that?

http://dailycaller.com/2018/07/07/saira-rao-white-people-colorado/

“I stand by it,” Rao told Colorado Politics about her tweeted statement. “It’s incumbent on white people and not people of color to solve it,” Rao said, just as it’s incumbent on men to solve sexism. (RELATED: Rutgers Prof: ‘Officially, I Now Hate White People’)

If white people dislike being lumped in with white supremacists, that is because of their “white fragility,” Rao added.

I saw your headline and I immediately knew it was full of shyte. And don't get me wrong, I did not come to my conclusion because it was unimaginable to find some democrat, somewhere in the US saying some crazy shyte. But essentially, I looked at the poster and then the source (the daily caller) A source which I think has less credibility that info wars. That is what tipped me of

I know u are trying to be creative with the headline but saying white people should solve racism is no where near the same as saying "white people are irredeemable"

That's the definition of redeemable.

1. able to be recovered or saved from faults or bad aspect

I know what the word means, how did you come to that conclusion from the quote? The dem thinks the problem of racism can be solved but only by white people(or should be by). That is the opposite of not redeemable.

Due to the intrinsic faults of white people. Even see the reference to so-called 'white fragility.'

White fragility is not the same as nonredeemable in the context the dem was using it. The headline just doesn't describe the content of the article and that is really all I am saying.

Should I Give Up on White People?

By George Yancy
Mr. Yancy is a professor of philosophy at Emory University.
April 16, 2018

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/16/opinion/white-racism-threats.html

Which, in spite of its provocative headline, ends up with Yancy not "giving up" on white people, after being subjected to bundles of hate mail.

Rao answers in the affirmative after losing a primary in the socialist plantation party.

And she has done this before.

This most recent proclamation is not the first time Rao has “given up” on things. Late last year, she also wrote an “open letter” saying she had given up on the Democrat Party, even though she was preparing to run for Congress as a Democrat.

“I loved you so much that I cried each time I voted,” she said of the Party. “Thinking about the women who died fighting for my right to vote did it every time. I cried when I voted for Bill. For Barack Obama. I wept when I voted for Hillary. You’ve been that kind of mad love to me.”

“And now I want to break up,” she added gravely.

Also in her letter, Rao complained that the Democrat Party do not care what minorities have to say. “I’ve been used as a pawn by the party, I’ve been used for fundraising, for getting out the vote,” she wrote. “And then when I have something that I want them to hear, they’re not interested. Not at the table. You know what? I’ve been serving the table. I haven’t been invited to sit there.”

May I suggest two things:

1 - Mz. Rao can leave the big government plantation and educate herself on the philosophy of individual freedom and limited government. She would be more than welcome.

2 - Or she can continue to work and expand a system that takes our money, our property, our dignity and our liberty on a daily basis. In that case I suggest she fuck off back off to India, posthaste.

I just finished typing a much longer response when I decided to refresh to see what else people were saying about the thread before posting. I saw your post and then clicked on the link, to my surprise it linked to the daily caller article which really made my post useless. I was about to reply how a woman who is in a democratic party where the majority of the people in leadership are white, lives in a state with a white majority somehow thinks whites are not redeemable. Well, it turns out she is a woman scorned letting out his frustration on the people she thinks screwed her.

So yea, I guess I was wrong on this, my apologies to AuH20. Yes, the article correctly reported the feeling an disgruntled ex democratic woman who is butt hurt because she thought she was being used by the white people in the democratic party and in addition lost to a white democrat felt. I wanna make excuses for getting this wrong but it was all my fault for expecting that someone posting an article on RPF would at least post the most pertinent part of the article in the OP

Rao tweeted a link to an April New York Times column asking the question “Should I Give Up on White People?.” Rao commented, “Short and long answer: YES.”

^^^^^^^

I was being lazy for not reading the linked article and I paid dearly for it.

White Fragility ? LOL . I do not even want to know WTF that is supposed to be . I could care less about racism . Not sure why it would be a problem for white people to solve . I imagine a higher percentage of brown and black people are racist than white people .

Critical Race Theory teaches that this is impossible.

Only white people can be racist.

Of course colored people ignore this when they murder each other for being of different race (tribe) or religion.

A man cannot hate the whip with which he is being flogged but then be expected to love the person doing the flogging. When such a black man, lying helpless bleeding on the ground expresses hate for the white person wielding the whip, it is only reasonable.

Many times, in the presence of whites, I have found myself in a position that no black person should ever find themselves in. After being accused of being a racist by liberals and conservatives, both black and white, I have found myself having to explain my existence as a black person and why the system does not favor a person of color.

Having said this, there are two things I want to address: First, I have lost patience continuously explaining what it means to be privileged to a white person and why black pain is valid. Second, I understand that black people have a right to voice out their pain. Their pain does not require validation from a white person to be considered real. If your arrogance as a white person is blinding you from seeing this, then it’s time you did some introspection. Do not be quick to jump on the “victim” bandwagon and accuse blacks of being racist. Black people can never be racist – we never had the tools or power to institutionalise racial oppression.

(You have been doing it for centuries, you did it in Rwanda, you did it in Rhodesia, you're doing it right now in Nigeria...don't fucking tell me colored people are incapable of racial hatred, or that they lack the tools of government power to use it to oppress, you sanctimonious piece of shit. - AF)

So next time you as a white person want to accuse black people of reverse racism and insufficient anger – check yourself and your privilege.

Pretty extreme collectivist reaction to losing a primary after picking one of the highest income regions of Denver for her anti-corporate money, social justice message.
This is in sharp contrast to another minority candidate Cortez in Queens NY (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?523613-NY-Prog-takes-out-10-term-incumbent&p=6645304&viewfull=1#post6645304) with her racial issues based/socialist message , but with different tome as she refrained from this type of messaging and her shock statement was limited to invoking massacre of Palestinains. Cortez won in a major upset that even Trump recognized with a tweet.

Swearing Off Corporate Cash: A Q&A With Saira Rao

The former Wall Street lawyer wants Democrats to commit to economic reform and racial justice.

By Raina Lipsitz
June 25, 2018

DeGette, 60, is a business-friendly, don’t-rock-the-boat Democrat who’s heavily favored to win. Saira Rao, 44, is challenging her by pressuring the Democratic Party to work less for corporations, and more for people of color.
Both women are graduates of NYU Law School: DeGette finished in 1982, and Rao, in 2002. Both supported Hilary Clinton wholeheartedly in 2016. And they share many standard-issue positions, such as supporting a woman’s right to choose. At first glance, it’s not clear what divides these women politically. What would a white-collar Hillary Clinton supporter find so objectionable about DeGette?

The district the two candidates are running in is more diverse, urban, and liberal than the state of Colorado. It’s also more prosperous than most of the country; its median household income is $62,718 and its mean household income is $92,638 (the national median in the United States is $59,039 and the mean is $83,143).

“If you look back at what happened in November 2016, in addition to people voting for this lunatic white supremacist, a lot of people didn’t vote,” Rao says. “And who didn’t vote? Communities of color didn’t vote; young people didn’t vote; the Rust Belt didn’t vote; the Obama coalition fell apart. The status quo gave us Donald Trump.”

DeGette has blamed the media for Trump’s rise, as well as suggesting that he successfully tapped into the feelings of a subset of voters who are struggling financially and fear foreigners. Rao’s objection to this explanation seems to be that it fails to count voters of color among those the Democratic Party has taken for granted. “As a brown woman,” she wrote on The Huffington Post, the party has “taken my love, my money, my tokenism” and given nothing in return: “You married the white woman and hooked up with me on the side.”

Another topic on which Rao and DeGette don’t see eye to eye is the influence of corporate money on politics. Rao is adamant that corporate money is poisoning our democracy. “We don’t have a clean Dream Act because Dreamers don’t have a Super PAC,” she says. “We continue to trash our earth because the earth does not have a Super PAC. We can’t even get to the guts of what’s wrong and figure out a way to fix it because we have this dark black cloud of corporate PAC money hanging over Capitol Hill, and until and unless that’s out we can’t get in and fix the stuff that’s broken.”

It could be read from this that this activist with Indian heritage sees minority ( indian/african-american, jewish, muslim, hispanic ) cabinet members of MAGA team also as tokenism? That would not be accurate.

Until you can see people only as individuals, with infinite characteristics that define their makeup, then racism will continue to exist. It's not incumbent upon white people or black people or any group of people - only individuals.

Here's a simple test: Do you group people together in your mind to make it simpler for you? If yes, then you have some work to do. (obviously, this former rep falls into that category)

I once knew a Black Jew dwarf that rode motorcycles and listened to heavy death metal. Knowing someone like that, teaches you a lot about individuality.

I group Republicans and Democrats together into a group I call "partisans", or "the left". Is that wrong of me?
