How the ‘Bad Boys of Brexit’ forged ties with Russia and the Trump campaign — and came under investigators’ scrutiny
Three British men who played major roles in the Brexit vote had several meetings with a Russian Ambassador sometimes
days before meeting with "Trump campaign" (i.e. they mean Steve Bannon)

BRISTOL, England — On Aug. 19, 2016, Arron Banks, a wealthy British businessman, sat down at the palatial residence
of the Russian ambassador to London for a lunch of wild halibut and Belevskaya pastila apple sweets accompanied by Russian white wine.

Banks had just scored a huge win. From relative obscurity, he had become the largest political donor in British history
by pouring millions into Brexit, the campaign to disentangle the United Kingdom from the
European Union that had earned a jaw-dropping victory at the polls two months earlier.

Now he had something else that bolstered his standing as he sat down with his new Russian friend,
Ambassador Alexander Yakovenko : his team's deepening ties to Donald Trump's insurgent presidential bid in the United States.
A major Brexit supporter, Stephen K. Bannon, had just been installed as chief executive of Trump’s campaign. And Banks
and his fellow Brexiteers had been invited to attend a fundraiser with Trump in Mississippi.

Their efforts to simultaneously cultivate ties to Russian officials and Trump’s campaign have captured the interest of investigators in the United Kingdom and the United States, including special counsel Robert S. Mueller III.

Both inquiries center on questions of Russia’s involvement in seismic political events that have shaken the world order, with the European Union losing a key member and U.S. voters electing a president critical of Washington’s traditional alliances.

Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, in 2006 signed a $10 million annual contract with Paul Manafort, former Trump’s campaign manager: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?516382-Paul-Manafort-Who-Once-Ran-Trump-Campaign-Indicted-on-Money-Laundering-and-Tax-Charges&p=6546021&viewfull=1#post6546021

Paul Manafort is locked up in prison awaiting his trial at the time.
A lawyer named Adam Waldman represents Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska. Rusal (in which Deripaska owns a 48% stake) collected $1.4 billion in revenue from the US in 2017 alone.

Waldman has represented Deripaska since 2009, at that time for a $40,000 a month retainer. Waldman is Deripaska’s primary lobbyist; his other clients include Hollywood stars. In 2010, Waldman also represented Russia’s foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, on behalf of Deripaska. In 2017, Deripaska paid Waldman’s firm, the Endeavor Group, about $562,000.

Waldman’s relationship with Deripaska goes beyond consultancy. In 2008, he travelled to Moscow, Amsterdam and Siberia with Deripaska for “friendship”. In 2015, Waldman and his second wife, Barbara Sturm, posed for photos with Deripaska at Munich’s Oktoberfest.

In one of those strange coincidences, Waldman visited Wikileaks’ Julian Assange in London’s Ecuadorian embassy on 9 occasions in 2017.
In 2017, Rupert Murdoch’s Fox published text messages between Waldman and US senator Mark Warner, suggesting Waldman was making a deal regarding Assange.

Waldman has cultivated connections with senior Democratic politicians and spent summers at Martha’s Vineyard (a favourite hangout for the likes of Lynn Forester de Rothschild and Barack Obama): https://www.theguardian.com/media/2018/jun/20/us-lobbyist-for-russian-oligarch-visited-julian-assange-nine-times-last-year

I’m afraid that I’m at a loss for words, but the rabbit hole goes even deeper…
One of the “best” disinformation campaigns that I’ve seen is the Christopher Steele dossier: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/3259984-Trump-Intelligence-Allegations.html

Like so often “the dossier” is a combination of fact and fiction.
To keep the attention away from the (real) scandals, or maybe the ploy from the start was to destroy Buzzfeed that is one of the few media outlets that sometimes publishes interesting stories, Alfa Bank filed a defamation lawsuit against Buzzfeed over the Steele dossier: https://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/buzzfeed.pdf

In February 2018, some documents showed that none other than “former” British spy Christopher Steele, communicated with the same Sen. Mark Warner through Washington DC lobbyist Adam Waldman.
On 16 March 2017, Waldman texted Warner:
Chris Steele asked me to call you.

Was Steele also paid by Deripaska for working on the Donald Trump campaign?
Waldman has received at least $2.36 million from Deripaska: https://www.tabletmag.com/jewish-news-and-politics/255290/christopher-steele-putin-oleg-deripaska

So, from the text messages this $40,000 a month retainer attorney has a contact at the Federal Investigation Bureau
and he is sweating that he hasn't talked to Deep Throat Two for 72 hrs ?

Brexit vote was just two years ago in June 2016 - same time as Hillary getting a free lift on Air Force One to a North Carolina campaign event.

Cohen’s Next Phase, Manafort’s Trial Looms: Trump Legal Update
House Republicans (still) want to shut down the probe into Russian election meddling.

So, from the text messages this $40,000 a month retainer attorney has a contact at the Federal Investigation Bureau
and he is sweating that he hasn't talked to Deep Throat Two for 72 hrs ? Since 2003, Felix Sater and Tevfk Arif (involved in money laundering and child trafficking) - Bayrock – are co-conspirators with Donald Trump.
Sater has known Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen since they were teenagers.
There are many stories that claim that Felix Sater was working for several intelligence agents (including the FBI) after he was arrested for laundering $40 million…

Bayrock-Sapir, (then) led by Soviet émigrés Tevfik Arif, Felix Sater and Tamir Sapir, are all 3 connected to the Chabad (of which Jared and Ivanka Kushner are also members).

In Felix Sater’s LinkedIn bio he described himself as a former “Senior Advisor to Board of Directors” to TxOil of none other than Neil Bush: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?513623-Michael-Flynn-Inovo-and-Erdogan/page2

Harsh&Abrupt&Hard Brexit shares Cambridge Analytica The British SCL Group (parent company of Cambridge Analytica) is even more interesting: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?520558-Trump-Election-Consultant-Firm-Cambridge-Analytica-Execs-Caught-Discussing-Extortion-Fake-News&p=6634728&viewfull=1#post6634728

I guess that when you keep connecting the dots at one point Oleg Deripaska's name pops up...
Maybe somebody can follow the trail from Viktor Vekselbert to Robert Mercer: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?523855-Russian-Oligarch-Who-Allegedly-Paid-Michael-Cohen-Is-Linked-to-Clinton-Foundation-and-John-Pod&p=6647914&viewfull=1#post6647914

Jury selection questions were submitted to the judge yesterday. . .

Paul Manafort's Lawyers Want to Know Where Jurors Get Their News

Lawyers for Paul Manafort want to know where his prospective jurors get their news, how they vote, and what they know
about the one-time Trump campaign chairman charged with bank fraud and filing false tax returns.

Those and other proposed questions were submitted to U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III on Monday in advance of
Manafort’s Alexandria federal court trial set to start July 25.

The judge, a Ronald Reagan appointee, told lawyers for both sides at the June 29 hearing that
he’d be the one to question jurors about their knowledge of the case -- with input from the parties -- and probe for evidence of bias.

Manafort’s team submitted 27 proposed questions to the judge while Mueller’s team suggested 22, many with multiple sub-parts.
Among the prosecutors’ concerns: whether a juror thinks tax laws are unconstitutional and if anything about the special counsel’s office itself would prevent the rendering of a fair and impartial verdict.
