A wildfire in the Florida Panhandle that destroyed 36 (sic) was sparked by a 'controlled burn', state officials have revealed.
On Sunday the wildfire raged across Eastpoint in Franklin County, scorching 800 acres on the northern coast of Florida.
An investigation has revealed that the blaze was caused by a company the state's wildlife commission hired to carry out controlled burns on state lands.
Residents of the small community have been left with questions as they clean up what's left of their homes.
