Hope this is fakenews, two and two don't add up here:

North Korea making ‘rapid’ improvements to nuclear reactor despite Trump-Kim agreement

The satellite photos, obtained by North Korea analysis outlet 38 North, indicate that the isolated regime is making numerous improvements to its Yongbyon Nuclear Scientific Research Center “at a rapid pace.”
The report comes just over two weeks after President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un signed an agreement that called for a denuclearized Korean peninsula.

Hopefully maintenance of their rocket launchers won't require them firing more rockets in future.

U.S. intelligence believes North Korea making more nuclear bomb fuel despite talks: NBC

Reuters Staff

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. intelligence agencies believe North Korea has increased production of fuel for nuclear weapons at multiple secret sites in recent months and may try to hide these while seeking concessions in nuclear talks with the United States, NBC News quoted U.S. officials as saying.

In a report on Friday, the network said what it described as the latest U.S. intelligence assessment appeared to go counter to sentiments expressed by President Donald Trump, who tweeted after an unprecedented June 12 summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that “there is no longer a nuclear threat from North Korea.”

“There is absolutely unequivocal evidence that they are trying to deceive the U.S.,” NBC quoted one official as saying.
The CIA declined to comment on the NBC report. The State Department said it could not confirm it and did not comment on matters of intelligence. The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

China is the most worried after that underground hydrogen bomb triggered that 6.3 earthquake -
I think Kim has to ask for the UN and NPT-authorized inspectors to advise and help in dismantling anything.

North Korea absolutely must avoid a Chernobyl-style nuclear accident on the Korean peninsula.

Wonder if recent high profile summits between Russian/Chinese leaders and NK's supreme leader were aimed at nuclear safety.

Is the NK situation indirectly linked to China-US trade war escalation also that started today?

Great point . . . it is kinda like Kim Jung Un and Trump just starting a 4D chess match . . .
time a dimension with final results to come later.

But Kim is right on one count . . . Why does the USA have / want / need just under 70,000 troops in the region (between Japan amd the Korean peninsula).

One thing for sure . . .
China is NOT all that happy about the NK huge underground detonation though . . . mudslides well into China.

It is doubtless that NK needs to be under the umbrella of the UN and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation agreement,
for just the safety of dismantling this fissile stuff.

North Korea learned to make it - only Russia and USA can really help, to dismantle. Mostly deep rig drilling technology imho.
