Most Americans Want Illegal Aliens Either Deported Or Detained, CBS Poll Says

Ignore the outrage surrounding the Trump administration's "zero tolerance" border policy: Polls are still showing that most Americans are on the president's side. The latest proof of that comes from a CBS poll (https://townhall.com/tipsheet/timothymeads/2018/06/24/cbs-poll-51-of-americans-believe-a-border-wall-is-a-good-idea-n2494000) released Monday showing that a slight majority of Americans want to see illegal aliens detained or deported. Furthermore, 51% of respondents said that a border wall would be a good idea, even if it doesn't cover the entire border.

The poll was conducted last week, between June 21 and June 22 - following nearly two weeks of intense public scrutiny surrounding Trump's controversial border policy, which he rescinded last week with an executive order. Only 35% believe the government is at fault for enforcing the law, while 11% are unsure who is to blame.
While strong immigration policies remain broadly popular, politicians in blue states are growing even more hostile toward President Trump's immigration enforcement efforts, directing most of their hostilities at ICE. Cynthia Nixon, who is challenging Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the New York State Democratic gubernatorial primary, just this week called for the abolition of ICE, saying the group has strayed far from its original purpose - even going so far as to label ICE a "terrorist organization." She said this while the poll confirmed that the president's approval rating has held strong, with more than 40% of respondents identifying as a "Trump supporter".

I know black and Hispanic people opposed to immigration, and the Dems are writing them off too. Then of course you also have those that are conditionally oppposed to immigration, i.e. they only support the importation of more of "their" people, which usually means one of the major migrant groups, Hispanic, Chinese or Indian.

Actually, a slightly modified and better version of that question is what group of career politicians would benefit by importing a replacement population? Go a touch deeper and you'll also see that the same group of people refuse to change their beliefs to reflect the will of the majority of the public, which is not what a Representative Government should be. Why wont they change their beliefs or the laws that reflect the values we already have? Why? Because there is a big group of people that is profiting from Lobbyists for betraying the rest of the people. Its the same people that financially profit by keeping poor people poor, by taking anyone who has anything left (Wealth Redistribution), and "giving" it to the poor" (actually they are stuffing it in their pockets), hiding behind children, the flag, the bible, and what ever other narrative they can cook up. If we ever end up with a real Civil War, it could very easily be a Race War. Who are these people? Same people that oppose Trump at every opportunity? Maybe. Since this is the Ron Paul Forum, not Trump Forum, wouldnt these be the same people that flat out opposed everything from Ron Paul? I have a gut feeling that because the actors constantly change but the stance does not, these people are NOT the ones we elected, they are the ones who buy out our elected officials and twist and manipulate them into getting what they want. Perhaps an even better question to ask is what is their End Game goal with Illegal Immigration?

Immigration should be a Non Partisan issue. We support LIMITED Legal Immigration, within reason, and with certain standards.
