How much bleeding of Evangelical Christian family values vote this article could cause for Trump-aligned candidates in 2018 midterms?
Other than California, GOP (lately Wars/Police State party) has not dropped to 3rd place behinds Dems, Indies in any othet state so far.
For many in GOP Christian base, order of priorities is God-Country-Party.

After winning the November 2016 election he said (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/60-minutes-donald-trump-family-melania-ivanka-lesley-stahl/) that whether he supported or opposed same-sex marriage was “irrelevant” because the Supreme Court had made its ruling, adding, “I’m fine with that.”

If Cali phenomenon reeated in other states and GOP-neocon wing got crushed to 3rd place in other states, is there fertile ground for a new 3rd party to rise ahead of 2020 merging with non-neocon wing of Tea Party?
