Republican Sen. John McCain reportedly doesn’t want President Donald Trump to come to his funeral.

According to a new report from the New York Times, those close to the longtime lawmaker — who announced in July 2017 that he had been diagnosed with brain cancer — have allegedly informed the White House “that their current plan” is to invite Vice President Mike Pence to the funeral service, but not Trump, citing the pair’s “rocky relationship (https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/05/us/politics/john-mccain-arizona.html).”


In 2015, Trump accused the former Vietnam prisoner of war of not being a “hero” because he had been captured (https://www.politico.com/story/2015/07/trump-attacks-mccain-i-like-people-who-werent-captured-120317).

Even if this is confirmed, not clear what JM intended to achieve as Trump is known to surround himself with best people and Pence is one of theose best loyal people who admire Trump a lot/see him as a savior for America.

Neither Trump nor Pence is invited to my funeral. McCain is setting the bar pretty low to let Pence in.
