My comment:
The U.S. Constitution is very clear that the right of citizens to bear arms shall not be infringed. Shall not be infringed. Period. The U.S. government does not have the right nor the moral high ground to tell law abiding citizens that they cannot own a bump stock or any other defensive weapon.
Additionally, a bump stock doesn't do anything special. A common belt, the kind you wear around your waist to keep your pants up, can be utilized as a bump stock to increase the rate of fire. The language in this regulation could be used to outlaw common household items and clothing accessories.
In fact, you can increase the rate of fire in the same manner that a bump stock does without using a bump stock or anything else, simply by holding the weapon a certain way. It is called bump firing, and you can see it in this video:

A ban on bump stocks is not only an egregious attack on the individual rights and property of law abiding citizens, it is worthless, ineffective and a complete waste of taxpayer resources.
If the ban does go into effect, it will be overturned in court.
I propose that this rule not be implemented.
