Instead of making APPLE rich, why doesn't someone set up a website to offer the song for download for donations - for some RP cause?

I like Jason's idea better. I don't like the song, though. =\

I nominate this song:

Ron said he loves country music, and it's a good song. Sorry, I don't think Missy Elliot represents Ron Paul or our revolution.

I agree, I vote for Shelby's song as well

Apple's already rich. . .and they are also extremely popular. . .so doing it through apple would get alot more attention. just my humble opinion.

is there anyway we can vote for a RP song for XM radio top 20 list?

And why bother sending Ron Paul to TV debates? Why not just have him express his opinions through youtube instead? ¬¬

I love the song, and love the idea. I would definatly buy it if it was on iTunes. Hell, I have 50 free song credits, i would use them all on this -.-

Back in HS, I liked one of Aimee's songs. I don't recall the name (it was probably called "Revolution", actually) and the lyrics were "I'd start a revolution if I could get up in the morning." Her sleeping habits must have changed ;)

That said, if it gets on iTunes, it has my $.99 and vote.

This is the best Ron Paul song I've heard.

"Landslide" by the Jake Kellen Band

I like Landslide, although Ron's name should be repeated more in the catchy chorus.

Makes and use these songs as ringtones too (good conversation starter).

"All the other politicans made the wrong call."

Heh. Has a good beat.

I think we need a poll for this. Put all the songs suggested in this thread as options, and "let the free market decide," as Trevor said.

It's a good song, and it would be cool to make it popular, but even if we all bought the song, it still wouldn't be a drop in the bucket next to the radio hits. At our best (Nov 5 and Tea Party), we're about 40k strong for any single event. Pop hits sell by the millions.

Aimee Allen - "Ron Paul Revoltion Theme Song"

This would be a good song to target young people. I plan on having a get-together on the 16th; and plan to have this song, plus "Ron Paul for the long Haul", and a few others playing.

We'll be drinking some drinks; watching the Money-bomb go up, and enjoying it.

Anyone in College Station TX; PM me if you're interested. (only room for a few people)

A location isn't set in stone quite yet.

Yeah, the songs pretty crap in my opinion. I am not a fanboi, I'm not going to buy something just because it is associated with Ron Paul.

I didn't even listen to the song, there are so many out there - just lets select one, get the artist to donate part of the proceeds either to a charity for a minority that teh MSM accuses Ron supporters of hating and then get it on iTunes and let teh world buy the song!

sorry either to a charity or charities or the campaign. Wouldn't it be cool to have him being played on the radio. hell we internationals could buy it 100 times each.

This isn't about "favorites". This is about getting a popular band's Ron Paul song on iTunes so we can use it to our advantage.

Get all the Ron Paul songs on iTunes! It's very easy to do so.

Just create an account at CDBaby ($35 setup fee): http://cdbaby.net/
And your music will be available on iTunes as well as "cdbaby.com, Yahoo Music, Best Buy, Rhapsody, Napster, MSN Music and more".

P.S. I'm not in any way affiliated with CDBaby. I just happen to know a couple people that put their music for sale there.

How bout this:
Let's buy the one song she already has on iTunes (Cooties, on the Hairspray soundtrack) and maybe that will lead people to her myspace page?

That is stretching it.

How about we just ask her to put her song on iTunes?

Come on can one of long term supporters get this to the attention of someone who can run with it. Remember you can "Gift" songs via mail from Itunes so we can buy and send it all over the place. Get some thing set up with some songs centrally - contact trevor and see whether he supports it? I heard a rapping RP song a week ago and I don't care for rap as I'm a bit over the hill! But anything that will appeal and has some credibilty with a radio audience that listens to these channels! But the aim is to get his song into the charts and do our utmost to get it to number 1. I'm going to see if I can find out how many sales were required last year to make teh No. 1.

i still think it's a cool song. can anyone tell me how "famous" Aimee is? is it likely that this song could be RP promoted enough to play on a station like KROQ?

Here is an example of a song hitting #1: Mad World: Gears ad propels song to #1 on iTunes
(http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/27/mad-world-gears-ad-propels-song-to-1-on-itunes/)

I contacted Aimee and requested her to put it on iTunes and informed her about this discussion.
