President Donald Trump (http://abcnews.go.com/topics/news/donald-trump.htm)'s reelection campaign is out with a new survey that asks supporters whether they fear the spread of Sharia law (http://abcnews.go.com/topics/news/world/sharia-law.htm) and whether English should be made the official language of the United States.

The 32-question survey, which is available on the Trump campaign's website (https://action.donaldjtrump.com/listening-to-america-2018-survey/), is titled "Listening to America: 2018." It begins with a set of general questions, asking participants about their location, their sense of safety under Trump's presidency and whether they're optimistic about the direction of the economy.
The survey then addresses several topics currently in the news, such as whether schools across the country should be "hardened" in the wake of the Parkland shooting and whether supporters feel they've benefited from the recently passed GOP tax cuts.

Smart. This is a winning strategy and could divert attention away from recent headlines on gun-control, path to DACA, attacks on Sessions/Bannon, Kushner corruption, Stromy Daniels allegations etc that had started to cause bleeding of support from GOP-wing of Trump base.
Right now will be very wrong time to poll conservative bases on gun control, path to DACA, Mexican payment for the Wall, family values etc

Yep, same place it had been headed from over the last couple decades, though.

Is our bilingual nation really a good thing that has developed - or does it create some separate classes of citizens not so swell, regardless of the class -
i.e bad for all. eastern Canada still fights over language used - is it up to the business to require commerce in it's shop conducted in certain languages - jus' sayin'

Multilingualism within a country isn't a problem in itself.

Politicizing language is the problem.

Listening to America 2018 . . . wtf?
Is that before, or after, you listen to Fox News and/or listen to 'The View' (?)

For certain . . . these 2018 Elections are gonna be rather . . . uh, . . . "noisy" - not that that is a bad thing.

From the poll:

Do you believe schools should be hardened to protect our children?

Yes, they should be put in those underground nuclear bunkers and have the US military guard the entrances with x-rays and scanners for all who choose to enter.

Do you feel that you cannot publicly admit that you support Trump?

These are the fundraising "polls". Both parties use them to raise money. The throw in a few loaded questions designed to trigger fear-mongering to generate donations.
The SPLC (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?516740-Meet-The-Southern-Poverty-Law-Center&highlight=southern+poverty)is master at fear-mongering fundraising.

Wow, the same so called Paul supporters bash a poll that may lead to policy that would reduce the size of government and upholds the Constitution. There is a significant cost associated in supporting multiple languages at the federal level. English as the official language would result in significant cost savings. But no lets oppose that to because Trump.

So I shouldn't fear torture and secret government, but ooo boy, Sharia law. Why would I fear Sharia law if I have an AR-15? Oh yeah...
