The SV needs to be more agile and run more daily stand ups. Nothing says bleeding edge like 20 people in a daily meeting trying to come up with the most uninteresting story ever heard while no one is allowed to question anything about this method.

PETER THIEL, NEVER one to keep a low profile, made his most recent set of waves with reports that he is prepared to decamp from Silicon Valley to more benign haunts in Los Angeles along with several of his companies. His rationale, according to a piece in the Wall Street Journal (https://www.wsj.com/articles/tech-luminary-peter-thiel-parts-ways-with-silicon-valley-1518696120), is that the Valley is now a politically intolerant culture, left-leaning in the extreme and to the exclusion of any contrarian viewpoints; any culture so unable to consider alternative viewpoints, the thinking continues, will stifle innovation. Thiel also is among the voices warning that the Valley is unprepared for a coming tsunami of regulations (https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/15/peter-thiel-growing-worried-about-regulation-on-silicon-valley-report.html) from Washington, which will undermine its ability to lead tech’s next wave.

You should complain in your next retrospective meeting, how much time is wasted with worthless meetings

I avoid retrospective meetings as they are nothing but ass kissing exercises. I prefer reading Zippy's posts.
