Republican Idaho lawmakers fed up with what they see as the federal government encroaching on states’ rights advanced a proposal Wednesday that would allow Idaho to declare federal laws or regulations unconstitutional. The move came despite warnings from the state attorney general that the proposal is likely illegal.
With just four lawmakers — two Republicans and two Democrats — opposed, the 15-member House State Affairs Committee agreed to send the proposal to the House floor for debate.

This Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding.

There lies the power to do so, if they can prove it.
