The family of an Arizona rancher who was killed by police during the armed occupation of a national wildlife refuge in Oregon alleged in a U.S. lawsuit Friday that he was “deliberately executed by a preplanned government ambush.” The wrongful-death lawsuit filed in Portland on the second anniversary of Robert “LaVoy” Finicum’s death seeks at least $5 million in damages for his widow (https://www.sltrib.com/news/environment/2016/03/09/jeanette-finicum-says-she-will-sue-over-death-of-husband-lavoy/) and each of their 12 children. The United States is listed as a defendant, along with the FBI, Oregon State Police, Gov. Kate Brown and others.

FBI spokeswoman Beth Anne Steele said the agency does not comment on pending litigation. Representatives for the governor and state police did not immediately return messages seeking comment.

Outstanding! This is what is known as a slam-dunk case for the plaintiffs.

I imagine that it may hinge on the trial of W J Astarita and that outcome. Which, I'm sure he will walk free.

Investigators determined that state troopers were justified in shooting Finicum three times in the back after he exited his vehicle at a police roadblock, put his hands in the air and then reached toward a handgun in his inner jacket pocket.

Curious journalism. I'd have wrote....

Investigators determined that state troopers were justified in shooting Finicum three times in the back after he exited his vehicle at a police roadblock, put his hands in the air as he exited his vehicle in an attempt to surrender. At this point an FBI agent fired two shots at the surrendering Finicum possibly spooking him into trying to defend himself, although Finicum never actually pulled his sidearm. That FBI agent was later indicted for making false statements and obstruction when he attempted to cover up his shooting at a surrendering suspect.

Witnesses, and supporters,,and truth seekers determined that it is a Murder covered up by Police.

And I am still disgusted at what passes for militia in Oregon,,The PPN is controlled opposition. Fake Militia.. Cowards and bootlickers.

That ambush should never been allowed to happen..every gathering of LE should have had over-watch on it.
And rifles SHOULD have answered the one that killed Lavoy.
None of those murderers should have been allowed to leave that scene.

Bunch of pantywaist cowards afraid to be seen with a rifle,, let alone use one properly.
