For those who are unfamiliar with the phrase ''Fifth Column''¯, it was often used during the 1940s and 50s when I grew up, and referenced those in our country who were sympathetic to causes which threatened our country's common defense and general welfare.

And then there was ''Yellow Journalism''¯, another phrase. This phrase was used to identify media personalities and journalists who would stretch truth and facts, and even fabricate stories, [fake news] to accomplish nefarious ends.

Both of these forces are now actively at work in America!

Today, it appears a Fifth Column in our country has been successful in a cause ___ shutting down our federal government ___ which now threatens our nation's common defense and general welfare. And what is their reasoning for doing this? Their justification is a desire to immediately allow the children of illegal entrants to remain in our country, and also open the doors and allow the relatives of these children to flood into our country, regardless if they would be a public burden upon the taxpaying citizens of the United States.

Is this not what Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are demanding, or blackmailing members of Congress for in return to allow our federal government to be funded so it may attend to our nation's common defense and general welfare?

Indeed, a Fifth Column movement has been successful in shutting down our federal government for a cause which would flood our country with the poverty stricken, poorly educated, low and unskilled populations of other countries which is tantamount to importing a massive, financially dependent, voting block into America which our Fifth Column needs to insure an overwhelming dominance in Congress by socialists, communists and progressives who have no problem enslaving our nation's taxpaying productive citizens to pay for the economic needs of its voting base.

President Trump needs to hold firm and resist this internal attack on America by a Fifth Column movement, whose aim is to import an overwhelming voting block dependent upon free government cheese.

American citizens are sick and tired of being made into tax-slaves to finance a maternity ward for the poverty stricken populations of other countries who invade America's borders to give birth.

Interesting there is no response from our Fifth Column open border crowd. I guess they have not yet received their talking points from their masters, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi.

If we can make 51 percent of America’s population dependent upon the federal government for its subsistence, we can then bribe them for their vote, keep ourselves in power and keep the remaining portion of America’s productive population enslaved to pay the bills ____ Our Washington Establishment’s Marxist game plan, a plan to establish a federal plantation and redistribute the bread which labor, business and investors have worked to produce.

Dems obviously want Trump regime to look bad and had decided that shutdown would hurt GOP even though it is risky for Dems too in reality. There are signs of cracks in Dems coalition too, some Trump art of the deal negotiations tactics could potentially show some gains for GOP base.

OTOH it seems since departure of conservative base loved Steve Bannon, Trump is being pressured into talking shifting positions and as a result Dems and even some on the Right apparently have started to turn on Trump. Might be just coincidence, ever since Trump accepted zionist lobbies pressure and moved US embassy in Israel and allowed Javanka wing of GOP/controversial anti-money laundering champion Jared Kushner to take bigger role in policies, some troubling developments have surfaced. Trump is under constant pressure and distractions from Mueller probe to growing "Peggy Peterson" scandal in media. Trump needs some sincere non-Javanka type conservatives around him to steer things straight. Mitch Mconnel reportedly had said that "Trump will sign any bill we put before him".

Mr Murdoch allegedly suggested that it might be difficult to reconcile the administration’s stance on building a roughly 2,000-mile long wall along the US-Mexico border with a favourable, more open stance towards H1B-based immigration.
“But Trump seemed unconcerned, assuring Murdoch, ‘We’ll figure it out.’ ‘What a $#@!ing idiot,’ said Murdoch, shrugging, as he got off the phone,” wrote Mr Wolff in the book.

I know, right?

As if anything truly substantive is ever shut down during these dog anb pony shows. And as if it would be a bad thing if that actually were to happen.

WTF is this guy even doing here?

Mitch Mconnel reportedly had said that "Trump will sign any bill we put before him".

Actually it was Trump who said that himself.

johnwk, what is your view of this Democrat war hero's attack on POTUS?

Duckworth slams Trump: I won't be lectured on military needs by a 'five-deferment draft dodger (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?518659-Duckworth-slams-Trump-I-won-t-be-lectured-on-military-needs-by-a-five-deferment-draft-dodger&)

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (http://thehill.com/people/tammy-duckworth) (D-Ill.) tore into President Trump on the Senate floor Saturday, calling him a “five-deferment draft dodger” and slamming him for his comments toward North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
“Does he even know that there are service members who are in harm’s way right now, watching him, looking for their commander in chief to show leadership, rather than [trying] to deflect blame?” Duckworth said. “Or that his own Pentagon says that the short-term funding plans he seems intent on pushing is actually harmful to not just the military, but to our national security?”
“I spent my entire adult life looking out for the well-being, the training, the equipping of the troops for whom I was responsible,” she continued. “Sadly, this is something that the current occupant of the Oval Office does not seem to care to do — and I will not be lectured about what our military needs by a five-deferment draft dodger.”“And I have a message for cadet bone spurs: If you cared about our military, you'd stop baiting Kim Jong Un into a war that could put 85,000 American troops, and millions of innocent civilians, in danger."

Duckworth, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, lost both of her legs when a rocket-propelled grenade shot down the helicopter she was piloting over Iraq in 2004.

It may be "straight forward' to you and "others", but I'm still waiting for an explanation. And, what does it have to do with the topic of the thread?

Without a Fifth Column Media, Yellow Journalism and a corrupted FBI, Loretta Lynch, Hillary Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama, would be making license tags in a federal penitentiary

.

I remember when a Fifth Column movement was alive and thriving in New York City’s west village, also known as Greenwich Village.

See When New York City Was the Capital of American Communism (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/20/opinion/new-york-american-communism.html)

” The Brooklyn-born playwright and critic Lionel Abel, who cut his political teeth in left-wing circles in Greenwich Village in the 1930s, remarked in his memoirs that during the Depression years, New York City “went to Russia and spent most of the decade there.” Leaving aside Mr. Abel’s taste for the mordant, he had a point.

For a few decades — from the 1930s until Communism’s demise as an effective political force in the 1950s — New York City was the one place where American communists came close to enjoying the status of a mass movement. Party members could live in a milieu where co-workers, neighbors and the family dentist were fellow Communists; they bought life insurance policies (excellent value for money) from party-controlled fraternal organizations; they could even spend their evenings out in night clubs run by Communist sympathizers (like the ironically named Café Society on Sheridan Square in Greenwich Village, a showcase for up-and-coming black performers like Billie Holliday).”

Well, it appears the old Fifth Column movement is still alive and well in America and its ring leaders are in control of the democrat party who need an impoverished and dependent population who they can charm with free government cheese. Why else would Bill de Blasio, Schumer and Pelosi want to import the world’s dependent poverty stricken, poorly educated, low and unskilled populations into America?

Is it not reasonable to believe Bill de Blasio, Schumer and Pelosi are inspired by socialism and communism, and buying votes with government cheese to retain their hold on government power?

The unavoidable truth is, our social democrats’ plan for “free” college tuition will be paid for by taxing the paychecks of millions of college graduates who worked for and paid their own way through college and are now trying to finance their own economic needs.
