View Full Version : Binomo prank call fallout could sink Nikki Haley ?

Not just because she displayed stunning ignorance about world affairs during the 22 minute long talk with the "Polish PM" but because she failed to show loyalty to Trump as she did not question fake sexual harassment charges against Trump and in fact seems to be giving credence to fake allegations.

The comedians also steered the conversation towards more topical points of interest, including the sexual assault allegations levied against Kevin Spacey. The pranksters told Haley that Spacey once attended an official state dinner and “started to tap the knee of the president.”
Haley still didn’t realize she was being pranked, saying she is interested in reading the interview.
Asked if she knows Spacey, Haley replied, “I don’t know him personally but we certainly do hear stories.”

He then informed Haley that the former prime minister of Poland said she was “harassed by Mr. Trump in 2012.”

“She told me that. Maybe it’s like, I don’t know, it’s modern to accuse people,” the Russian prankster said before suggesting the former Polish leader feels sorry for rejecting Trump.

“That might have been what was needed,” Haley said. “We will leave it at that.”

On an unrelated, though she can be criticized for foreign affairs ignorance but to be fair she does not seem to get fair shake from some segments of media just like candidate Trump did not. CNN apparently published following shocking report without confirmations and based just on speculative narration in highly controversial book "Fire and Fury":

Menendez indictment: 3 girlfriends, 7 lavish trips, more than $750,000
By Alexandra Jaffe, CNN
Fri April 3, 2015

That's the amount, according to the indictment, that Melgen gave — through his family and business — to entities supporting Menendez's re-election effort in 2012.

Of that, $143,500 went to New Jersey State and County Democratic Party entities. Melgen also contributed approximately $600,000 to Majority PAC, a super PAC backing Democratic Senate candidates and incumbents, in two contributions of $300,000. Both of which were earmarked for the New Jersey Senate race — in which Menendez was the only Democratic contender.

"Who has the best juice at CMS and Dept of Health"?
That was something Menendez tried to determine when intervening on Melgen's behalf in a Medicare reimbursement dispute, according to an email he sent to a staffer that was included in the indictment — and the senator ended up speaking to the top officials at both the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Department of Health and Human Services about the issue.

The indictment outlines a multi-year battle between Melgen and federal health officials over $8.98 million he was alleged to have over-billed Medicare for a drug he used in his ophthalmology practice.

Reports: N.J. Sen. Menendez Linked on Tape to Government Contract Scheme
September 28, 2006
In court papers filed in New Jersey in March, Oscar Sandoval said he was pressured in 1999 to hire a doctor Menendez preferred or he would risk losing $1 million in government contracts. Sandoval taped the 20-minute telephone call with Donald Scarinci, a longtime friend of Menendez who is also a powerful lawyer and has been a fundraiser for Menendez's campaign. Scarinci allegedly told Sandoval that Menendez would consider it "a favor" if the doctor, Vicente Ruiz, was hired, adding that Ruiz would offer him "protection." If not, Sandoval would risk losing psychiatric-services contracts at various facilities, including the Hudson County Jail.
If he did not hire Ruiz, Scarinci allegedly said "the law of the jungle" would be put into effect. Sandoval hired Ruiz.

It wouldn't matter, Trump would just appoint another neo con.

Valid point.
Although replacement options might be somewhat limited as many of the respected, mainstream neocons tend to shy away from working with Trump because he is apparently too "crude" for their taste.

US medua has been mostly supportive of her but foreign media has been bit more critical.

UK's DM reported on her coverage in the new controversial book by Michael Wolff:

UN ambassador Nikki Haley 'is as ambitious as Lucifer'

Nikki Haley decided by October that 'Trump's tenure would last a single term'
She saw that she could be his heir apparent, something Trump's circle feared
Fearing Haley's influence, worked every way possible to protect Trumpism
Haley's ambitions are revealed in Michael Wolff's book on Trump's White House

During her first year in the White House, Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, befriended Ivanka Trump to be brought into the family circle. The women are pictured above at the Broadway debut of Come From Away in New York in March 2017

Some critics had also referred to Nikki Halley as neocons poodle, a term previously used for UK's Iraq war champion Tony Blair.

'Confused' UN envoy Nikki Haley hits back at White House

18 April 2018

US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley has fired back after a White House aide accused her of "momentary confusion" over new sanctions against Russia.
"With all due respect, I don't get confused," Ms Haley told Fox News television.
She was responding to comments by White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow.
On Sunday Ms Haley said the US was preparing new sanctions against Russian firms. But the White House later said no such action had yet been decided.
In her initial remarks, made on CBS television, Ms Haley said the fresh measures would target "any sort of companies that were dealing with equipment related to [Syrian President Bashar al-] Assad and chemical weapons use".
She said, the new sanctions would send a "strong message" to Russian leaders.
