An organization came out with the tax reform numbers for New Hampshire.
http://www.unionleader.com/politics/tax-plan-analyzed-89-of-nh-would-save--20171220

89% of federal filers living in New Hampshire will see a tax cut. The average tax cut is $2,900 a year in NH according to the organization.

I have not read the bill that passed . I doubt it will have any effect on me and expect my tax burden to be unchanged.

I hope I have no need to adjust my evasion much . I just got everything set up perfectly under the old rules .

It cuts taxes for small businesses and other companies. It cuts taxes for 84% of people that file federal tax returns. It repeals the federal health insurance mandate tax. It helps with national defense and energy independence by allowing additional oil exploration in Alaska.

Since I have no faith in govt that they could ever do the right thing with taxes and spending most important to me is leaving tax law alone so I can manipulate it in my favor under the current mess with the bare minimum of effort .

Unfortunately, unless they also cut spending they'll effectively tax you some other way. So instead of buying a boat it might be better to invest in some asset with a return to pay for higher taxes in the future, and buy some inflation protected and dollar collapse hedges to counteract inflation. TANSTAFL. No fun allowed.

meh, when the dollar bubble collapses no amount of financial planning is gonna do any of us much good. I already have my guns and ammo and most the people in this state are happily disarmed. hell, maybe I could use that boat to get out of the country with my PMs, guns and ammo when they enact the capital controls.

Simultaneous with tax relief, we need some government relief - eliminate some agencies, close a couple departments, and repeal a few kilos worth of pages of laws and regulations.
