Rep. Dan Johnson (http://thehill.com/person/dan-johnson), a Republican, reportedly shot and killed himself on a bridge in Mt. Washington, Ky. The gun was recovered by police, according to WDRB.

The Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting published an expose on Monday detailing allegations that Johnson forced himself on a 17-year-old friend of his daughter after a New Year's Eve Party in 2012.
Johnson denied the allegations on Tuesday, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal (https://www.courier-journal.com/story/news/politics/2017/12/12/dan-johnson-sexual-abuse-allegations-kentucky-legislator/942339001/). He said the accuser was a member of his church, and that the claims were, in part, politically motivated.
"This is an assault on all real people, there's no perfect people and you get into office and all of sudden political hacks come against you and start accusing you after you're in office," he said, according to the Courier-Journal.
Johnson also acknowledged that he messaged the woman on Facebook in January 2013, saying that he did not remember what happened the night of the alleged encounter and that he had been "drugged" at a local bar.
He said later on that he did remember what happened that night, and denied ever entering the room where the girls were sleeping.

Some very controversial claims were being made about him in the news:

Rep. Dan Johnson’s seamy past unveiled

December 12, 2017

Of all Dan Johnson’s scams, the biggest he has pulled off was on the voters in the 49th House district last November.
He was pretty above-board during the campaign about his message of racism and hatred. He, for example, posted images on Facebook of President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, with ape-like faces.
But the Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting has, in a thoroughly reported account, revealed (http://longcon.kycir.org/?utm_source=KyCIR&utm_campaign=8edb71680d-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_12_11&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_3fe1cce7ce-8edb71680d-166975445&mc_cid=8edb71680d&mc_eid=1ed1312ff0)much more about Johnson, who calls himself “bishop” and “pope” in his role of the presiding minister at the Heart of Fire Church.

It's like NOBODY considers that it's possible that the girl is lying...

Does everybody think that all girls are angels and none of them lie? Does everyone think that it's not possible that someone has paid this girl off? This sheit happens you know. I personally have NO idea what did or did not happen but what ever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? This freakin mob mentality, even here on RPF is really scary. This is how the witches got burned in Salem. I thought we had moved past this kind of behavior.

A state representative in Kentucky shot and killed himself Wednesday evening, officials said -- just days after a report emerged in which a woman said he sexually assaulted her when she was 17.

Rep. Dan Johnson, a preacher and a Republican, shot himself on a bridge in Mt. Washington, southeast of Louisville, Bullitt County Sheriff Donnie Tinnell told WDRB (http://www.wdrb.com/story/37062873/rep-dan-johnson-commits-suicide-on-bridge-in-mt-washington). His body turned up on a riverbank near the bridge and the weapon reportedly was found at the scene. He was 57.

Earlier Wednesday evening, WDRB said Johnson took to Facebook to post about the accusations leveled against him, claiming they were “false” and “only GOD knows the truth.”

On Monday, the Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting (http://longcon.kycir.org/) published an account from a woman claiming that Johnson sexually assaulted her in the early morning hours of Jan. 1, 2013.

The woman said she attended a party at his home on the night of the incident. She reportedly fell asleep on a sofa and woke up to Johnson kneeling over her, before she claimed he assaulted her. The woman said she reported the incident but Louisville police closed the case without charges.

Johnson told reporters on Tuesday that the accusations were “totally false.” But leaders of the state Republican and Democratic parties had called for the representative to resign.

Hmm...a preacher who committed suicide, doesn't look good for him--unless it wasn't suicide?

An idea we must always entertain in these cases.

The wife of a Kentucky lawmaker who killed himself after a sexual assault allegation surfaced this week defended her husband Thursday and said she will run for his seat because "these high-tech lynchings based on lies and half-truths can't be allowed to win the day."...

All the leftists are screeching "See, he killed himself. He MUST be guilty."

No, not necessarily so, ya fucking bimbos and bobble heads. Some people in this world stake their life by the way they live it. Things like integrity and honor mean more to them and their psyche than life. Of course, not a single leftists would understand this antiquated ideal.

If it really was suicide.

We deal with a lot of people contemplating suicide. Most people only talk about it and make half serious attempts to gain attention. The one's who actually want to commit suicide don't talk about it, they do it. I can see something like this in today's climate even if it's false (and maybe especially if it's false) resulting in some guy offing himself instead of putting his family through the witch trial to follow. It's a media affair where everyone outside of the immediate family is screaming for blood and it's as scary and real as a mob with torches and pitchforks...
