Questions have been raised around why Donald Trump slurred his speech during an address announcing the US would recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/jerusalem-trump-israel-capital-us-latest-news-updates-embassy-decision-violence-unrest-threat-a8095736.html).

The change in the President's pronunciation seemed particularly to affect "s" and "th" sounds, and appeared to worsen in the closing stages of the address.

It led viewers to suggest the President may have suffered a medical problem.

President Donald Trump’s slurred words during a speech announcing his controversial decision to move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem are being dismissed by the White House as the result of a dry throat.
“His throat was dry. There's nothing to it,” Raj Shah, White House spokesman, told NBC News and other reporters.

WASHINGTON — President Trump will undergo the traditional physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in early 2018 and make public the results of that checkup, the White House promised on Thursday. Press secretary Sarah Sanders also dismissed what she called “ridiculous questions” about Trump’s health after he seemed to slur some words in a speech a day earlier.


“There were a lot of questions on that — frankly, pretty ridiculous questions,” Sanders told reporters at her daily briefing. “The president’s throat was dry, nothing more than that.”
