Handing the White House a huge legislative victory, the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday ruled in favor of President Trump’s travel ban affecting residents of six majority-Muslim countries.
The justices said the policy can take full effect despite multiple legal challenges against it that haven’t yet made their way through the judicial system.
The ban applies to people from Syria, Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia and Yemen.
Lower courts had said people from those countries with a "bona fide" relationship with someone in the United States could not be prevented from entry.
Grandparents and cousins were among the relatives courts said could not be excluded.

Good thing this Libyan guy got his visit done just before the ban couple of days ago.

The travel ban was sold as a "temporary ban" lasting for three months while the US re-examined their screening procedures for people from certain countries. Surely they have had the time to access their procedures by now (that was back in January).

(this ruling is also a temporary one).

And perhaps that review found a ban to be necessary.

The income tax was also billed as a temporary thing. The 2011 budget deal was a temporary deal to fund government until some committee could put together those massive spending cut packages.

In other words - don't be coy.

When it reaches the SCOTUS they will make it permanent.

When it reaches the SCOTUS they will make it permanent.

This was the Supreme Court. They are letting it stand until the other pending cases make their ways through the courts.

So as I said:

When it reaches the SCOTUS they will make it permanent.
