Turns out Health Department had nothing to do with it.

NJ AG’s Office Used Health Dept Logo For Weed Flyer Without Its Knowledge
Nick Givas 10/27/2017

The office of the New Jersey Attorney General issued a warning to parents and trick or treaters about a rise in marijuana-based candy this Halloween, and reportedly used the logo for the state’s health department without its knowledge.

An anonymous source from New Jersey’s Department of Health told The Daily Caller News Foundation their logo was used by the Drug Monitoring Initiative (DMI) to promote a marijuana scare tactic. The DMI serves as a division of the attorney general’s office.

The health department source said the claim it was involved with the formation of the flyer was “completely incorrect.”

The state AG’s warning claimed there is a rise in edible marijuana candy in New Jersey and surrounding states, posing a “great risk” to children. It also directs anyone who receives the candy to contact the police immediately, and take special precautions like wearing gloves and washing your hands when disposing of it.

The flyer also cites an instance from May of this year, in which a 10-year-old boy was taken to the ER for ingesting a marijuana gummy. It says he experienced “nervousness and nausea.” The warning also included an addiction outreach number on on the bottom of the page.

The DCNF reached out to Sharon Lauchaire, spokeswoman for the state attorney general, but she did not respond to our request for comment in time for publication.

(Editor’s Note: This post has been updated to reflect the claim the health department was involved with the flyer’s creation is “completely incorrect.”)

gotta go to the rich neighborhoods to get the weed candy- sounds like a good excuse to take all the good candy. Checking for poison was what my parents always did to raid my candy and take whatever they wanted out of it. Its kind of what the government does though so it taught me a valuable lesson. Only time there was ever a kid who died from poisoned candy was because their parents poisoned their candy in order to commit insurance fraud. Kind of like some government false flag attack.

So if we get some of that, can we use that as an excuse for failing a piss test?

Yes :)
I'll let my sons know... people where they work are getting fired for failing piss tests.

Maybe they can get the union to help out with that excuse.
