No, a "new low" is when Americans don't know how to spell two-syllable words. When they can't differentiate between "its" and "it's". Between "loose" and "lose". Between "your" and "you're". Between "their", "they're" and "there".

And it's even a lower low when someone defends the idiot and his idiocy.

You know, DjLOTI did this once. It was just before he announced the creation of RonPaulRadio.com . The threads turned into huge flames and long lists of annoyance about how a secret was being held, blah, blah, etc.... All that happened was alot of frustration was created among people on this board.

Ron Paul Radio is huge as you obviously know. Teasing the forum had nothing at all to do with its success though. Rather, it only succeeded in driving people nuts, kinda like torture.

Oh God. That sounds exactly like Fred Thompson's strategy a couple months back. "Well! Ever'wun's always bin sayin' that yew gotta campaign aggressively and spind munny't break-neck pace to win, but the rules are about to change. Ahm not doin' inny campaignin' an' look wher I'm at in the polls! I just think that...mumble, mumble...somethin' 'bout flies in the summer...mumble..."

Whereas a harsh critical attitude might not be completely warranted, making just simple grammar mistakes can oftentimes reflect poorly on your credibility. I think it's beneficial if we point out grammar mistakes to each other, since it will make us seem more intelligent even in discussions outside this forum - though a more civil approach might be desired.

One of my tricks is to use a browser with a spell checker. Firefox underlines all my mistakes in red, so I know when I'm making dumb spelling errors.

Sorry, I'm just not getting it. I don't see how the campaign lounging around like a lazy lion and doing nothing is going to get Ron Paul into the White House. In the video, it looks like the lion was already where he needed to be while the antelope was trying to run to get there. However, in real life, Ron Paul is NOT where he needs to be right now--he's lagging in the polls and hq is not getting his name out there.

All the video shows is an antelope running with a voice over saying "conventional wisdoms says you need to spend money at a break neck speed". Cuts to lion doing nothing with Ron Paul's face on it.

etc

Antelope runs into tree.

"The rules are about to change".

Lion roars.

Suggests the campaign has been hoarding its money. No idea what they are going to buy with it - maybe a small baseball team? Perhaps they will succeed and raise a small militia? Another thing could be a textile factory to churn out thousands of shirts...

The video shows one of those african deer animal things (whatever they're called) running really fast, and says "Conventional wisdom in politics says to win you've got to run with wreckless abandonment and spend money at a breakneck pace." Then shows a lion starting to get up or something, and then goes back to the deer we will say running really fast. "Its the tried and true path to success in the primaries for one reason: its always seemed to work." Then you see the lion behind a tree, and the deer running straight to the tree. The narrator then says "Until now" and the deer smacks the tree. Then you hear the lion growl since its about to eat the deer I guess. Then the narrator says "The rules are about to change."

Its pretty straightforward really.

"No army can stop an idea who's time has come"---

Ron Paul

Look, I'm not going to be a grammar prick here, but your sig is a gross violation of two principles:

1. To quote someone else's words appropriately.
2. To give credit where credit is due.

The quote has been paraphrased from Victor Hugo as "No army can stop an idea whose time has come" which Ron Paul used... notice the correct spelling of "whose".

The original context was in "History of Crime" to which Hugo wrote "On résiste à l'invasion des armées; on ne résiste pas à l'invasion des idées." or roughly One resists the invasion of armies; one does not resist the invasion of ideas.

Sorry, I mean no offense; as a literary buff, I just thought I would throw that out there...

A Ron Paul/ Google alliance

I don't know if this is planned but it would dramatically increase Ron Paul's chances of winning.

I'm talking about an official endorsement of Ron Paul by Google. Imagine the Tea Party being advertised on the main Google page. Imagine every time any person goes to Google their seeing a Ron Paul ad.

Similiar things could be done with yahoo, facebook, myspace, etc.

Is anyone discussing this or planning this. It would also be a good opportunity for Google to flex its muscles and show the power of the internet vis-a-vis the mainstream media.

Well I'm not quoting Victor Hugo, I'm quoting Ron Paul saying it because thats what matters to me. I know Paul quoted that from Hugo, but Paul said it too, so I can quote it from Hugo or Paul or both of them, and I choose Paul.
