Sorry if someone already posted this, but I about vomited after watching this.

All I have to say is, America is one pathetic country for supporting this kind of blasphemy.

And a Christian nation: http://thinkprogress.org/2007/12/10/huckabee-wants-to-take-this-nation-back-for-christ/

It's better than an Islamic nation, right?

The really sick part is that it will get him votes. It will also cause him to lose votes. Many people are sick of God talking to the president.

Huckabee has that self-worshiping thing I dislike in politicians. He is like John Kerry in that regard. "Special". And it scares me because you know that as president he will look down upon his humble citizens as ants and fully take advantage of the powers of the presidency in any way he feels will fulfill his delusion of grandeur. He, if elected, would destroy our country within 4 years. Freaking me out.

Yeah, I'm a Liberty University student and was there when Huckabee said this. Immediately I looked at my friend (also a ron paul supporter) and mouthed the word "pander" and thats exactly what he was doing. There's no way he would have said that on national television if he wasn't speaking to a Christian University. The sad thing is that since Huckabee visited a few weeks ago, there has been a crap load of bumper stickers showing up around campus assuredly followed by mindless answers about the fair tax. It's one thing when people at least research something before giving an opinion on it, but its another when somebody takes a candidate at their word that something is good or bad just because they are Christian. It makes me sick to my stomach. Of all people, how can Christians afford to surrender our liberties to the government in hopes that they won't persecute us (hate speach legislation) and use the same tactics against us that we've been using for years. We need to realize our mistake as a nation and restore our personal liberties. After all thats why this university is supposed to be about.

I think I'd have to put Huckabee in a dead-heat tie with Hillary for the most dangerous. For slightly different reasons, but nonetheless.

What will be amusing is if Huckabee does not win the nomination. If God is responsible for the surge in the polls, so shouldn't he also be responsible for your inability to win the nomination? The possibility is amusing to me.

But if God is responsible for the ups and downs of polling, then doesn't that mean god chose the president and we had no will to say otherwise? Does this also mean that bad US presidents and bad foreign leaders (hitler, etc.) were chosen by God? what kind of god would be responsible for hitler's rise in power anyhow?

Sorry, just had to rant.

Some of the comments on the youtube page are ridiculous. I seems like his supporters want to elect Huckabee as king not president.

As a very devout Catholic that is blasphemy to attribute to God your worldly ambitions. It's not like he's trying to build a Christian monarchy, but a neo-con establishment of aggression. The man is insane.

He's about right.
The Mainstream Media acts like self appointed gods.
And they've intervened on his behalf to falsely created the appearance of a surge in support.

Hence, it was divine intervention that is responsible for his surge.

The fall will be so sweet though....

Huckabee is not the only one who claims to be favored by divine providence...

"From the time when the Movement consisted of seven men, until we took over power in January 1933, the path was so miraculous that only Providence itself with its blessing could have made this possible...."

-Adolf Hitler, on 11 Dec.1941 before the Reichstag

"I am Fuhrer of a Reich that will last for a thousand years to come. No power can shake the German Reich now. Divine Providence has willed it that I carry the fulfillment of a Germanic task."

Adolf Hitler, at the Wolfsschanze, Autumn 1941

"Today I must humbly thank Providence, whose grace has enabled me, who was once an unknown soldier in the War, to bring to a successful issue the struggle for the restoration of our honor and rights as a nation."

-Adolf Hitler, before the Reichstag, 30 Jan. 1937

"I go the way that Providence dictates with the assurance of a sleepwalker."

- Adolf Hitler, Speech, March 15, 1936, Munich, Germany

"We National Socialists, too, have deep in our hearts our own faith. We cannot do otherwise. No man can mould the history of peoples or of the world unless he has upon his will and his capacities the blessing of Providence."

-Adolf Hitler, to Nazi leaders on 2 June 1937, as reported by a correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph"

"May divine providence bless us with enough courage and enough determination to perceive within ourselves this holy German space."

- Adolf Hitler, Speech, March 24, 1933

"People ask: is there someone fit to be our leader? Our task is not to search for that person. Either God will give him to us or he will not come. Our task is to shape the sword that he will need when he comes.

-Adolf Hitler, 04 May 1923

I don't know that it defies ALL explanations, Mike. What do you think is more likely? 1) Someone died, came back to life, and then changed thousands of minds in Huck's favor, regardless what those minds wanted to do in the first place. 2) Someone rigged a poll.

Here's part of an email I just got from Huckabee's campaign:

The dramatic upswing in our campaign is due to the tremendous volunteer effort of the friends like you who have believed in me, not because the conventional wisdom said we would win but because your convictions said we should win.

It is an insult to not properly give props to donors and hard working volunteers.
