With all due deference to NFL kneelers drama that has gripped US media owners attention, foreign media is reporting this. Obama's Nobel Peace Prize should have been yanked the day after it was leaked to media, but that did not happen:

Afghan massacre: US soldier's appeal fails

Former US Army Staff Sergeant Robert Bales has failed in his appeal over his conviction and life sentence for the slayings of 16 Afghan civilians.
Associated PressSeptember 29, 20177:39am

An appeals court has upheld the conviction and life sentence of former US Army Staff Sergeant Robert Bales for the slayings of 16 Afghan civilians and the wounding of six others in solitary pre-dawn raids on two villages in 2012.
The US Army Court of Criminal Appeals, at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, rejected Bales' appeal on Wednesday.
Bales, an Ohio native recently stationed in Washington state, pleaded guilty in 2013 to avoid the death penalty.

In his appeal, he argued the Army withheld information about a witness in the case as well as evidence he may have been prescribed a psychosis-inducing malaria drug. The three-judge panel rejected those arguments as unfounded.

The worst part is the shit they take away from our soldiers when they don't take their lives. I became anti war because of my friends in the military. If you don't lose your sense of humor or your empathy from the sociopaths that target you while you are in there they give you crazy pills or take your leg. There are more sociopaths in the military then our mental health care system or jails.

All that place does is swallow the living and kill foreign empires.

Yeah i honestly try to embody the patriotism one of my best friends always had before he went overseas. He was so gung ho and joined the Military as soon as he could after we got "attacked". He went to Afghanistan when it was really bad and never really said what happened other then that he couldn't talk about it, only one time when he was really drunk he said he couldn't talk about it because he would be killed. He came back from overseas without a sense of humor or a sense of country. As soon as he had a chance he went UA and never reported for duty. They threw him in military jail and paraded him as a traitor and then out of the corp for dishonorable discharge.

And how's the "Holy Land" blessed us in return? Curses that's all. Victory there IS leaving, because to stay is defeat. That'd be the proudest day of any Patriot's life when we completely remove ourselves from financing and fighting their wars.

I'd rather see a Persian Empire rise than know our friends and family are off fighting Israeli and Saudi wars.
