So, we all know that Dr. Paul is all for free market economics and minimal government involvement.

Did anyone else find it ironic that the mainstream media of the free market has failed to cover Dr. Paul and his support while PBS, a federally funded entity, is going to air a Ron Paul special two days before Tea Party?

Got Irony?

;)

Check your local PBS schedule for the Ron Paul Phenomenon that will air this friday night, on December 14th.

The Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 [2] required a "strict adherence to objectivity and balance in all programs or series of programs of a controversial nature". It also prohibited the federal government from interfering or controlling what is broadcast. This set up an obvious tension where the government that created the CPB would not be able to do anything about a perceived failure to meet its obligation for objectivity without interfering in some way.

Not all nor even half comes from the Federal government: Funding for PBS programs comes from a variety of sources - member stations' dues, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, government agencies, foundations, corporations and private citizens.

It acts more like a non profit than a government run agency. The free market is working, people are starting to turn to the internet for thier uncensored news instead of watching fox, cnn or msnbc.

Free-market news does work, just look at the internet. The MSM have been given monopolies thank to government.
